I am retracting my comment about damage to my freezer door. Turns out the cheapness of the model of my refrigerator is the cause of the holes. I haven't seen this kind of venting in a freezer door in my entire life, but when I had the door replaced, the new one had similar holes punched in different spots. The holes are punched so randomly it looks like damage I've seen previously from an ice pick. I still think the agent wasn't all that polite, perhaps he was having a bad day. And I wasn't terribly impressed by the lack of investigation in regards to the burn't paper

Mark my technician came to my house and diagnosed the issues with my dishwasher. He explained what was needed to repair the appliance and the cost. After a very short discussion on the cost, Mark and I agreed the best course of action was to purchase a new dishwasher. The repairs were going to be around $400. A new Amana dishwasher costs about $479. It wasn’t to difficult to decide to purchase a new one. Thanks Mark for spending the time explaining everything.

Ordered control panel for my Maytag refrigerator for me to install myself. They called as soon as it arrived and I was able to pick it up 3 days later at the Dearborn facility. Fantastic customer service. Appreciated the call back from the parts department when I couldn't get through the first time I called.

His company has lousy unreliable scheduling. GE referred me to Kenwhirl on 8/18/21 to be called to set up an appointment for service on a microwave.
I was not called until today (9/9/21). In the meantime, my warranty expired. I called GE on 9/7 and made a new appointment with a REAL GE factory technician.
In my opinion, this company waited for my warranty to expire so they could make more money.
By the way, they called me back today after the original referral was canceled and outright lied to me about trying to schedule previously.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that nobody use this

This place is honest and helpful. Our clothes washer broke and I called Kenwhirl to ask about any used ones they may have. They asked instead what our problem with the current one was, and suggested the steps we could take on our own to fix it and save money. They were SPOT ON! Problem solved. Money saved! ... they will now get my business anytime I have a problem. Thank you!

Jeff and Mark are the service techs who came to our home on separate occasions to work on our dishwasher. Both were knowledgeable, courteous, and very professional. Called them for service on Friday, got an appointment on the following Wednesday. Told them exactly what the problem was. Guy comes over and sure enough, his diagnosis matches mine. I told them what the issue was and they don't bring the part with them. The guy is in my house 5 minutes charges me $90 for a service call and tells me he will be back the following Monday, and he will charge me another $160. I ordered the part on the internet, saving $35 and fixed it myself using a YouTube video On Saturday.

I do all of my own appliance repairs (if they aren't covered under a warranty). I also do repairs for family & friends, if asked upon too.
I've been going to Kenwhirl Appliance for many, many...many years. I do not know any of the staff on a personal basis, but I have yet to ever have a bad experience there. They normally have whatever replacement part, in stock. If that part needs to be ordered, it's normally a very quick process & time frame to receive the ordered part. Depending on the counter person working at the time, they are usually helpful with repair process suggestions

I needed a GE dishwasher Door switch , nobody had this part available , and I would have to wait anywhere between 3 to 5 days with prices ranging from $ 16 to $ 38 , Kenwhirl was able to get it the next day for t $15 , I couldn't go wrong, they were very fair, and they did not over charge me . So I was extremely happy , I buy parts from many suppliers , But I had to write this review , because they were very fair and friendly .

We had their repairman out twice and he kept telling us that there was nothing wrong with our washer. When I showed him how it stopped on spin on his 2nd visit, and asked if it was something mechanical, he said no, that nothing was wrong and recommended putting pads under the washer feet. I went out and got something to put under the feet, and still had issues. We called for a second opinion and found out it was something mechanical and the tub shocks were worn out, along with a couple of other mechanical issues.

I called Kenwhirl today to get someone out to look at my washer. The charge was $80 which I considered a bit high compared to others and when they told me that $80 would be in ADDITION to any service charges, I told them forget it and called the other company where the service fee comes OFF what other charges are incurred.

My rating is based on Integrity. We had a repair on our Kitchen Aid dishwasher. On of the two counterweight cable pulleys broke and the very heavy door dropped down narrowly missing slamming in to my leg. A Repair technician came out to replace one of the two pulleys ( there are 2, a left and a right). I questioned the repair man, saying "if the right one broke, the left will be the next to go. He refused to replace the other side. A few days later I called Whirlpool, who owns Kitchen Aid. They informed me that they ship out the pulleys in "pairs". So the repair man lied. Whirlpool

Rude service rep. Acted like he couldn't be bothered with my problem. My appliance is under warranty.Problem is ice cream wasn't freezing and freezer was not holding a 0 degree temp. Instead of checking to see if the thermostat was working right, he cranked up the settings to the highest. He told me the freezer doesn't completely freeze all ice creams because of the sugar content. It's frozen at the store: a-hole. I called Whirlpool and they told me the same crap. Horrible service. I have DTE protection plan and they had kenwhirl come to my house to repair my fridge and dishwasher. They come on schedule and the technician was able to figure out the problems. In order to fix the problem they needed to order the parts. They forget to order the parts. I called and complained. It ended up taking them 3 weeks to come back and fix it. The still haven't received all the parts. I would not recommend for any service.

I get my parts from Kenwhirl and I've always been happy with the price and how quickly they can get the parts if not in stock (usually 1 day turnaround). I've had them let me know when parts might still be under warranty instead of just pushing through the sale - saved me quite a bit of money. The staff is very knowledgeable and always happy to help if you have questions.

I went to these guys based on how long they've been in the neighborhood. Not a smart move. I called them in to take a look at a refrigerator that wasn't cooling as well as it should be. After 10 minutes of work, the service technician now had the refrigerator not cooling AT ALL. Charge: $65.
After waiting a week with a dead refrigerator while Kenwhirl tried to find the part, they finally arrived (albeit a day and a half later than scheduled). Upon examining the refrigerator again, the service tech said we now needed another $800 part to get my previously working fridge to work again.
