This is a convenience, not a certification of fire worthiness or safety. Since conditions of use are beyond Masters Services' control, we make no warranty of safety or function and none is implied.
Sweep Away Cancer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Tommy Nelms, Mark Stoner, and Darin Bibeau in 2015. These three joined forces to raise awareness and funds for individuals affected by all types of cancer by asking those within their own industry (the Chimney Sweeping industry) to get involved.

My 76 old mother called Master Services Inc to purchase gas fire logs. While on the call they recommended a chimney inspection which she agreed. She later received an appointment for installing the "gas logs" per the description of the appt and what she thought was getting installed. They did the chimney inspection then recommended she replace the entire chimney cap at $4k. That's when she reached out to me for advice. I had her tell the inspector to call me. The inspector said the existing chimney is fine per code, but they always recommend upgrading if they see a reason. I declined

I hired Masters Services to seal my chimney as there was a leak coming through there. At first the repair seemed okay, but then it rained and it leaked all over again. I called them to come fix it and the manager told me to change the cap on the top of the chimney to which I did. Then it rained hard again and it leaked AGAIN. He sent another individual to inspect it who claimed nothing was wrong. So I hired another company for a second opinion to check it out. That company came in and took a bunch of pictures of where the leaks were occurring in the chimney and he offered to speak to the manager

Had the best experience with Cody on July 15, 2020. I believed that my damper was broken and had never had my fireplace inspected. Cody and his partner arrived on-time, with appropriate masks, and set out a tarp to inspect my fireplace. The detailed report as well as the customer service, education, and usage instructions they provided were exceptional and I will be using them for any/all future fireplace/chimney needs.

Master Services did a good job fabricating my custom chimney cap to specifications. Could they have been built it straighter and handled it with care so that there were no scratches in the paint present? Sure they could, but for the quality of the materials and price it the cap, I was satisfied. It met my needs and honesty who is going to notice the minor flaws besides me and the birds? I will say that the customer service provided by Abby was great. She kept in contact via email and phone to make sure my cap was built to fit.

Well, for what they charge, it better be.
The man came to my home to give me the free estimate. He declined to get actually up by the chimney due to the steep roof. He then gave me an estimate that was, well, shocking.
I told him I would think about it and let them know. I called a 2nd service who, for doing the same work with the same materials, came in with an estimate less than HALF of what MS wanted, with the same guarantees.
Based only on my particular experience, I would say, do call MS if money is no object.

I used Master Services to install a new cap and replace the Flashing around our chimney..They guaranteed their work and the Flashing around my chimney needed to be repaired again as it began to leak again. My husband was home and he stated they did not spend much time and he felt they had not done a good job. Needless to say once again we have a leak. My husband stated that we should just find another company but I thought I would give master services one more shot. Called last week and she stated that the manager would give me a call the following day. Never heard back from them.

Friendly and prompt, they had accidentally double booked my slot so they quickly rescheduled me.
On the day of the appointment they showed up on time and performed the work quickly and cleanly. You cant even tell they removed my chimney cover and installed the flue damper on top of the chimney. Their work is very professional and craftsman-like. I am very happy to have worked with them to fix my chimney issue.

These guys were great! They had a canceled appointment ahead of us so they were able to show up early. They called beforehand to let us know and were very polite and professional. Jr, answered any questions I had and did a quality job capping the chimney and installing the damper. Took them just over an hour to finish the job, super fast.

I paid $1300 less than year ago to seal the chimney brick and install a new cap with a 10 year warranty, My roofer informed me that my chimney was "shedding " and that I should seal it quickly there is no evidence that the chimney was ever sealed! When I called Masters for inspection, they will not warranty their work and recommend a rebuild with no apologies. The chimney cap looks great. Any other service is at your own risk. BUYER BEWARE!

We needed our firebox back wall rebuilt and the chimney cleaned and re-lined after they inspected it. They completed the work in a timely manner and were very nice people. It looks to be quality work but I guess only time will tell. However, the reason I won't give the fifth star is because they did not do a good job of cleaning up after themselves. They tracked mud in and left dirty footprints all over the floor with no effort of any sort of cleanup. I had a bet with my wife that surely they would clean up once the work was complete. I lost. Then on the third and final visit after cleaning

Master's Services was great to work with. When I called the person did a great job explaining the process and talking me through what I needed. The call for install scheduling came much quicker than expected as did the install. The installers were very professional and made sure I was satisfied with the product, as well as making sure I knew how to use it. They even stayed and watched as I practiced with our first gas fireplace. Stellar company!

We were given the gas logs as a present and we could not have been more impressed! Not only was the installation quick and painless but the guys who installed it were incredible! We were moving in while they were there and realized we didn’t have a tool we needed to take the doors off of our refrigerator to get it in the front door and not only did they lend us tools but they helped us do it and move it in! On top of all that the logs are stunning! They look so real and everyone asks me where we got them! If I could give more stars I would! ❤️

Requested same products and install from other homeowner in our neighborhood. They quickly recalled the other owners order, scheduled ours, installed it without issue a week later. Attention to detail was great and the guys doing the work were pleasant to deal with. One of them really like a caramel apple sucker and would take occasional breaths in between extracting flavor. If I had known I would have had one waiting on him.

First off I could not even get to the service requested because the the office lady that answered the phone was extremely rude and inconsiderate. I am so happy with the work I received from Masters Services. Their technicians where very courteous, polite, very good at communicating with me, and trained well. I needed a new chimney cap installed because my previous one was damaged (from a previous storm) as well as some other work done because water was leaking. They were flexible with my work schedule and were able to schedule Saturday's if they were needed. I am very pleased with the end product. Will use them every year for my chimney inspection.

When the fireplace stopped working in January after the Oct 2015 repair, I called them in the Summer to see if they would warranty their work. Their short answer was "No. We don't work on direct vent fireplaces anymore." So I was left with a fireplace that they repaired, but they wouldn't warranty the work. The Chimney Sweep fixed the problem for me.

They are a complete rip off, I called them to do a chimney sweep and inspection for like 140$ and had my contractor let the guy in. To make a long story short he said that there was a crack in the bottom of the fireplace that would cost approximately 500$ to repair before he could sweep the chimney. Since I was already stressed from having my home renovated I decided to pay the 99$ inspection fee and use as little profanity as possible. Lesson learned I cleaned it myself with a 15$ log I bought from Home Depot. Don't Trust them Period.....
