Our clinic, Atlanta Mobile Hearing, came into existence to address a fundamental challenge to the hearing aid industry. If a patient wanted first-class service, they would go to traditional private practice. Maintaining a professional doctor's office is expensive and so the hearing aids were expensive.
In order to save money, patients went to big-box stores. However, they became just one more store product and lost individualized customer service. At Atlanta Mobile Hearing we have eliminated the high overhead of the office and provided the ultimate in personalized service by coming directly to your home.
With Atlanta Mobile Hearing there are no more traffic jams or waiting rooms, just truly personal service and affordable hearing aids. Relationships rely on communication. Hearing loss can be a wall between people, but using hearing aids can bring people together. Studies show that seniors with hearing loss are more prone to dementia, by using hearing aids, they are likely to improve their cognitive skills.*

Services
There are over 30 million people in the United States experiencing some type of hearing loss. Along with regular physical exams, dental and vision checkups, your hearing needs to be regularly tested. With an Atlanta Mobile Hearing's hearing evaluation, we will take the time necessary to understand your hearing needs.
Investing in your hearing is a wise decision, but to get the most out of your hearing aids they will need to be fit and programmed correctly. During a hearing aid and fitting session, Atlanta Mobile Hearing will tune and calibrate your devices to meet your specific hearing loss. We rely on "Real Ear Measurement" to let us know how the hearing aid is performing for you.
Tinnitus or "ringing in the ears" is the perception of sound in one or both ears with no apparent cause for the sound. Tinnitus is generally thought to be a symptom of something wrong in the auditory nerve or in the part of the brain that processes sound. Tinnitus usually sounds like ringing, buzzing, hissing, roaring or clicking.
Repeated exposure to intense noise can cause hearing loss, custom ear molds are one solution. Hearing loss usually is irreversible, protect yourself before it happens. At Atlanta Mobile Hearing, we strongly believe using ear plugs now is much better than hearing aids later. There are many sounds that can lead to noise-induced hearing loss and are not limited to, lawnmowers, firearms, chainsaws, loud traffic, fireworks and more.
Atlanta Mobile Hearing is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality, cost-effective hearing care. We accept all major credit cards and we offer 0% APR financing options. Many insurance companies will cover the cost of your hearing aids, but this depends on your policy and its criteria for coverage.

I was directed to Atlanta Mobile Hearing after pursuing a new hearing aid to possibly help my neurosensory hearing loss. After meeting with specialist, Douglas Garbart, I was given an audiogram test. Mr. Garbert then sympathetically explained to me why my hearing loss is not amenable to any type of hearing aid. He could have given me false hope and fitted me with a device as others had done, but instead, he was gentle and truthful with his response and suggested ways in which I should manage my own loss. I appreciated his honesty and mannerisms and know that he would be the same with any potential

We went to see Gary about repairing my mom's hearing aids. Unfortunately, Gary didn't service Starkey hearing aids but he was tremendously helpful in calling Starkey to get the warranty information on her aids and he gave us the names of other providers who might be able to help us with service. We really were so lucky to have met Gary who gave us such great customer service even though he couldn't help us with her hearing aids. Thanks so much Gary. We were so pleased to meet you and would certainly recommend you to anyone looking for hearing aid services!

I recently had to face the reality of hearing loss and its impact on my work, my family and friends. It was an example of the tipping point going in the wrong direction. I turned to hear.com to learn about their approach and that led to an extended phone interview (50 minutes). I appreciated their informative and candid performance. The best news is that I was referred to Douglas Garbart, an Audiologist in Alpharetta.
Doug is completely focused on the client's case. He is thorough in every way, an excellent communicator explaining the results of the of the hearing test and encourages any and all

I went to Doug for my first set of hearing aids about 4 months ago. He was very thorough and organized, friendly and professional. He explained a lot about hearing loss and hearing aids, demonstrated how to clean and care for them, how to insert them, etc. He made sure I left happy and without questions. At the follow-up appointment he made a few simple adjustments to make the hearing aids fit better (to keep them from working their way out of my ears). I haven't had any problems with them and am very pleased. Doug knows his stuff and I highly recommend him.

I cannot say enough good things about Doug and Atlanta Mobile Hearing. I came in expecting to pay my portion of a nearly $5k pair of hearing aids. I was positive I needed them. Turns out I didn't! Doug took his time checking me out, asking lots of questions about my experiences, and tested my hearing with the box/headphones. What he discovered is that my ears are working exactly as they should be...but my brain isn't interpreting the signals properly. Doug could have easily sold me those hearing aids and I'd have never been the wiser. Instead he insisted that I see an ENT to get to the root of

After years of frustration with the h/aids I got in NY I knew I'd do better here as soon as I met Doug. He was very patient and explained aspects of my hearing deficiency I was totally unaware of. Our first visit lasted almost 3 hours as he methodically administered tests and explained and illustrated the results. I was fitted with Signia aids and after 2 months I am completely satisfied with the devices. My follow-up visit with Doug was nothing more than a review of maintenance. Excellent product and outstanding service. I recommend without hesitation.

I've taking my 87 year old mother to a few earing aid specialist, with no reason to write a review about them. I was delighted to find and work with Doug. He is very knowledgeable about hearing, and taught me a lot in just the first meeting. We did purchase the hearing aids, and mother is so happy with the results. She told me these were by far the best hearing aids she has ever owned. Doug worked with my mother, and never rushed her. This a wonderful experience and I hope that this will help others make the first step to hearing again. Thank you, Doug for all you do!
