A reliable appliance repair service can be hard to find. I am delighted to say that we found one, with Golden Bay Tech. They responded quickly to our initial inquiry, and were able to come by and evaluate our job within a couple of days. Hjalmar was able to determine the part needed for a fix on our Whirlpool washer, and was able to come back for the full repair within another few days He was on time for both appts, and called ahead of his arrivals. I highly recommend Golden Bay Tech.

Disappointing - We requested he check 3 appliances; the dishwasher that wasn't draining, the oven-micro combo where the top element had exploded and stopped working, and the cooktop where 1 of the burners "clicks" like it's trying to ignite constantly. First we had to ask that he wear a mask, second, he looked at and found an obstruction in the drain line of the dishwasher, so that was fixed, but then he was unprepared to repair or even diagnose the other 2 appliances. He said he didn't have the "key" for the DCS cooktop, and needed 2 people to diagnose the

*Update* To be very clear, the refrigerator in question is not 20 years. It is a 12 year old refrigerator.
In short, the technician was a no call, no show.
When I reached out if he was going to show up he claimed there are no parts to repair our refrigerator. Thus, could not help us. Quite annoying since I booked the appointment a week prior and I provided make/model with details.
The technician called me a day before (Friday, 6PM) and provided some possible root causes to the issue I described. Told me it could be costly but I insisted I was still interested. He asked me to send a picture

We had a great experience with Golden Bay Tech when our 6 year old Bosch dishwasher produced an error code we could not resolve on our own. The customer service was great, the scheduling process was easy, and Hjalmar was very pleasant to work with. Hjalmar was able to come out the day after I called and the part was on hand so we were able to have our dishwasher up and running the same day for a reasonable price. Golden Bay Tech made the frustration of a broken appliance as painless as possible.

LOOK NO FURTHER. Seriously, trust me, Hjalmar is the best appliance repair person you're going to find. He responded to my request for quotes on Yelp quickly, he priced his services fairly, he showed up on time, he's polite, and he's honest. He diagnosed the issues on a Tuesday, ordered the parts, and made all repairs the following Tuesday.

Hjalmar is awesome, he came out to look at a washer, and he recommended me not fixing it. Since he was here I had him took a look at my refrigerator for a 2nd opinion. He took a look at it and said all I needed was to replace a fan in the freezer, I asked him if he was sure because I had another company (Galaxy Appliance and HVAC) came out charge me $75.00 and told me I needed a new compressor and that would cost $1200, tech said I should just new a new refrigerator, but Hjalmar replace the fan for a very reasonable price and a few months later, the freezer is still working great.

First off, Hjalmar is an honest man. SO HONEST! I had a broken mini-fridge and before he came over to fix it, he told me it would be cheaper to buy a new mini-fridge and he was RIGHT! GOD BLESS HIM!
Then, our washer broke this week. ::sob:: Just as I was about to do some much needed laundry and I was able to make an appt within a couple days with Bill! Luckily Bill was able to figure out the issue and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to clean out the machine and replace the busted pump. (THANK YOU BILL!) He was able to fix it that day and now I'm able to have clean

Hjalmar was the best & most honest appliance serviceman I've ever met. He came twice, did a thorough review of the problem and even read my email requesting a change of appointment time. He was very charming, polite, honest & knowledgeable in his work. I felt that he was definitely not trying to "rip me off" but going through appropriate steps in repairing my washer, explaining what he was doing & why & reasonably charged me for the repair. Bill and Hjalmar came the first time when our fridge was not keeping our food cool. They came within a day and figured out the problem and explained everything to me with a solution. Which was to replace a specific part. Once the part arrived they installed it. A few weeks pass and I hear a sound coming from the back fan hitting the ice that was accumulating. I called them right away and they came the next day. Upon inspection, they found that the sensor was faulty and quickly replaced it. I highly recommend this company. They are efficient, professional and honest. Thank you!

I have an old-school Maytag washer that need had an internal leak. Golden Bay came out checked the problem found that it needed a part. Because the washer was 20 years old part was sort of rare. There were able to locate one came out the next day fixed it easy peasy! Price was really fair. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again for anything that needed repair in this house.

Hjalmar is fantastic. I contacted him beacaue my dryer did not have heat. I scheduled an appointment with him the next day. He was prompt and called me 15 minuted before he arrived. He then swiftly diagnosed the issue in 20 minute! Had it up and running in 1 hour. Since he did such a great job, I had him also fix my refrigerator issues.

Quick response! Dishwasher repair. Joe is very quick, knowledgeable, punctual (early arrival) and all around fantastic experience with this company. Contact on Tuesday evening, next day diagnostics and part order, Wednesday called to confirm Thursday part repair and was done in a jiffy.
I would not hesitate to call them for repairs. Highly recommend.

Hjalmar came to my home today and assessed the situation with my ice maker. He was pleasant and professional. Everything seemed right until he provided me with an estimate. He said it would cost me $225 to replace the ice maker assembly and $150 for the installation. I have attached the invoice from Golden Bay Tech and the receipt from the purchase I made for the ice maker assembly. The ice maker assembly essentially just gets plugged in and required two screws to keep it in place. I can wrap my head around paying someone to install for $150 I guess but when I researched the cost of the actual
