Overall I had a bad experience. The reason I am giving a 3 star rather than a 2 or 1 is because they tried to work with me to fix it. I will list down the pros and cons:
Pros:
1.) The moving crew were friendly and helpful
2.) They worked with me to accommodate late start at 1:30 pm.
Cons:
1.) Communication between their marketing team and moving team is very disconnected. They ended up charging me a lot more than what was quoted and was not communicated to me ahead of time.
2.) The wrapping blankets they bought were very old and dirty. I was not at all comfortable with them wrapping that

My second time using this company and the experience was horrible. The company used a 3rd party company (Smart Movers), I originally asked for only 2 men to move. The 3rd party showed up late with 4 men to move without my knowledge. One of the movers needed a ride to my new location as well. Then when it comes to billing they actually charged me for 4 men VS what I asked for. The owner Cornelius told me “yeah they shouldn’t have did that…” Then proceeds to make up a price by saying well if you would’ve had 2 men it would’ve been 2 more hours. This place is very unprofessional!! I tried

Just had Cornelius and his team install two difficult safes. Power movers fit me in very fast. did this a week before another company, they were on time at the pickup point, had the right equipment and manpower. I could not be more happy. I never write reviews good or bad, just dont, but, if I could have given him 10 stars I would have. Recommend; yes! They did what they said.

Used these guys on June 5, 2021 to move a large—heavy object upstairs.. Cornelius and his partner did a Great job. Not sure why some of these posters are talking trash but these guys were on time they were careful with what they did not to damage the item or anything in my house . I highly recommend them..

Calls were returned promptly and courteously. I needed fast service to move a Nordic Track treadmill weighing 350 plus pounds. They came out same day. It had to be dismantled, moved From garage to basement and reassembled. They we’re efficient and finished in 1:45 hours, including testing the machine. Total charge was $240. I highly recommend them.

I hate to say this, but DO NOT use Power Moving. They seem very nice and professional, but they are UNINSURED! When I hired them, they lied to me, and told me they had insurance for broken merchandise, but that is not true. They broke a very expensive piece of furniture of mine because they didn't know how to properly move it. They later admitted to me later they did not have insurance and didn't have the money to pay me back. I'm slowly trying to get my money back, but it is like pulling teeth, and I've barely gotten anything back after 6 months. It has been incredibly difficult

Excellent service! Made moving parents much easier than doing it myself like I did last time. Movers were very professional and friendly, wrapped everything, put things where we wanted them.I would hav removed one star because they were a little more expensive than other short haul movers, but Power filled in at last minute when the original mover cancelled on me less than 14 hours before scheduled and confirmed move, and made things much less stressful. I WILL use them next time we have a move to make.

Power Moving recently helped me move a large, heavy, expensive piece of furniture. Gayelynn was very helpful, accommodating, prompt, courteous and customer focused in setting up the move. The gentlemen that came to delivery and reassemble were also very courteous (and strong!!). I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again should the need arise. They were a little later than expected due to traffic, but it was no problem at all.

When you agree on a price, that should be the price..... not with Power Moving.
I needed a single piece of furniture moved from one location to another. I gave them the dimensions and they quoted me $150. Upon delivery, they would not leave until I paid them an additional $50 because they said the furniture was big and heavy.
Note: Not that the piece was bigger than we agreed on, just that it was big and heavy...
Be aware that the price they give you will likely change once they complete the work.

Great moving experience. Perfect service (even after normal business hours), good pricing. Hermann and Stefan did a great job, moving our house with one 1 day notice only on a Sunday - they saved us after another moving company (McKenzie Moving, Pontiac) left us hanging and just did not show up. We will hire Power Moving for our next move, no doubt. Thank you again for your awesome, professional and reliable support.

Update to my prior review .... Great overall service! I had issues during the moving process and after my review... the management especially Corneliius was prompt to follow up on the issues making sure that we are satisfied and all problems were fixed ...few companies own up to issues these days and act on it....

With the exception of my last two moves, which my company paid for, I've always been a "rent a truck and pay your friends with food and drink" type of mover, so this is the first time I've paid a moving company out of pocket. If my next move is out of pocket (and local), I'd hire Power Moving again. Herman, Julius and Chris are 3 hard working men who overlooked the fact that we weren't completely finished packing and got right to work and didn't stop until the job was done.
