I was very impressed with General Movers. I had reached out to them for a quote to move my belongings from one storage unit to another. They only have quality workers with years of moving experience. For a rental fee, they also provide their own truck and supplies, which they prefer to use. Not having to deal with the hassle of renting a truck and supplies was a huge benefit in the long run.

Starting with Kyle, the owner...I changed the schedule more than once and he was very polite and understanding. Then Danny and his crew; Brandon, Kaylon, and Andy did the actual move. They were ethical, respectful and super careful. As an ex-executive, I have moved many times and found these guys to be the BEST. They even found some jewelry that we had lost for years. They are now my movers of choice.

There is no better moving company you can hire! Danny, Zae and Kaylon were incredible. Everything was packed perfectly- they used plastic wrap or cloth on necessary furniture and they strapped down items in the truck. They were fast, yet careful. They had tools to unscrew our table and put it back together. They took a door off the hinge in the new place to fit a desk (and of course put it back up). These men hustled. Great experience from start to finish.

Used General Movers to move stuff to my new house last weekend. The guys came out a little earlier than scheduled, which I appreciated since I requested they try to get there early. They did a good job packing things up carefully & efficiently. There were also sensibly about stacking things (this is not a given-- not all movers are very careful about how they deposit items). The guys (Danny, Kaelon, & Andrew) were all very polite & nice people. Danny called the night before to make sure he understood what would be needed for the move. Very organized. I moved to the area from states away. With very few connections in Ann Arbor, I was in need of some helpful hands to unload my Pod. I am fortunate that - after contacting numerous local moving companies & not receiving a response - that Kyle/general movers answered my call. I cannot praise Kyle & his team enough! I've recently moved from a condo to a house, and the team from General Movers made my move easy and fast. They were super punctual, organized, always asked questions before moving anything or place boxes in the new place, and the price was on point. I spoke with Kyle over the phone. They were able to fit me in on Tuesday but I explained I needed a fridge moved earlier for the holidays. He was able to refer me to someone else who did it the same day. Very professional and I appreciate he went out of his way to help me. We would recommend this company to everyone. They have experience moving large appliances, which is not a given for all moving companies.

I'm 62 and living alone so I clearly marked boxes-bedrooms, kitchen, basement to get things in the right part of the house because several boxes were large or heavy. Apparently they couldn't read. They also struggled with logic- they lined up my wardrobe boxes with hang up clothes in front of the closet door so I couldn't get to it and laayed one on its side on top so all the clothes ended up on the bottom of the box, off hangers, a wrinkled mess!

I'm giving out the five star because this was one of the few times I've had a smaller move and was able to find on time , polite, clean and reasonably priced movers.
I would recommend anyone who needs a traditional move to certainly get a quote from these guys. I found them on Angie's List and chose them because the feedback was so positive. I am satisfied.
