I used this company to inspect and troubleshoot some noise on a through the wall AC unit.
The service technician John was very professional. He contacted me with expected arrival time, and was very respectful of the space. He took his time to examine the AC unit, then he explained in detail of how it worked, and showed me exactly where the problem was, and how he was able to best solve it.
Great service and very good experience.

Not a professional nor reliable company. Our experience was terrible, we called them to install and air conditioner, they charged us more than any competitor, $129 just for an assessment, they did the assessment and after waiting for days with no answer and call them several times for the results of the assessment they provided very poor an vague information, excuses and told us they will call us back, we finally got enough and called them to cancel. Avoid them.

Great experience with HeatCool Service! I highly recommend their work and would not hesitate to call on them again in the future for any HVAC needs. They were able to come out on short notice to take care of a furnace/AC issue that came up during a home inspection. John was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to provide a thorough explanation of the issue and possible solutions. Very reasonably priced and excellent service!

Heat Cool saved me from an $8k bill by repairing an AC unit that other, larger outfits said couldn't be repaired and had to be replaced. The Heat Cool techs were very knowledgeable and repaired the unit within a few hours. I highly recommend.

When our furnace went out on a Sunday night in February, Northown charged us a $142 house call charge and proceeded to tell us our furnace needed to be replaced at an investment of $6600. We explained we were moving later this year and our house would be a tear down. They said a new furnace was all they could offer.
We got a second opinion from HEAT COOL who ordered us a $600 part and gave us 2 space heaters to use in the interim while we waited 24 hours for the part to come in.
HEAT COOL are our champs!

I have gone to Heat Cool Service four times in the last ten years trying to service my window a/c's. Own several properties. Each time I paid $40-50 diagnostic fee and everytime they have told me it was unfixable, and I just left it there. The last time about two weeks ago I had a wall unit that was only 13 months old and out of warranty. Again I paid the fee, again they told me it was unfixable. This time I said this is wrong and I called ABT, although it was $199 not only did they fix it but ran better than new. Heat and Cool is a rip off, and I will not go back. I think they should refund

Way too pricey. They charged me over $1300 to replace a crappy wall unit and they charge $109 for the service call. I asked them to remove the service charge since I was already getting ripped-off and they cut $50 off. I told them that most places give free estimates and they wouldn't budge. Needless to say, not going to use them again and this review is what they get for being stubborn. Oh yeah, they charge 3% extra for using a credit card.

I gave Heat Cool a 5 star review last year and I am going to give them another one now.
I had a window/wall unit that need replacing. I measured the window and unfortunately it was about 3/4 of an inch too narrow for a GE unit with a 25 inch sleave .
The old unit was an LG. I check with Heat-Cool. They didn't carry LG, so I ordered one from Abt. Abt delivered the unit but said they could not install it because the unit was not in a sleave; the exterior was the actual chassis (!!!). Nightmare. So it looked the like the thing was permanently mounted by the company that installed the

I asked Heat Cool to check my window unit last year. They wore watery shoes into my condo, checked my heater and declared they could not find any problems with it. The heater blows mostly cold air, so clearly it was not working. I had it checked by another company this year, and they immediately identified the problem and fixed it.

If I could give them no stars, I would. They are quick to get someone out, but each time they have come out (twice now) they have screwed up. The first time, they messed up my furnace's fan and now it reverberates. They also informed me (just like all the other companies) that I needed a $500 part replaced. I said I would wait for it to die.
When I called again in February because my heat wouldn't stay on, they told me they thought I needed that $500 part replaced. This is without actually coming out to diagnose anything. They came out and of course it was the part (really?). How would

We recently had several estimates from local Bryant dealers to install a new furnace, central air, remove old boiler, remove radiators, and add new duct work to our 100+ year old home.
John came out and walked us through several different scenarios that would work in the house. Although sometimes I didn't understand the lingo he was using, when I asked him to repeat it he did and was able to explain things in great detail. He was there for over an hour to help us locate the best possible places to put duct work. This was important because it's not necessarily easy to just throw duct

Our heat stopped working this morning, so we needed to get somebody out today preferably to fix it. The last company we worked with (AllTemp, great company too!) was all booked till Friday, so they recommended HeatCool.
HeatCool was able to get somebody over at noon. John was extremely polite and friendly from the minute he stepped in our door and put on his little plastic booties over his shoes. He explained everything in detail (which I love), including showing me the exact 2 parts that were broken and needed to be replaced, and explaining what each part did in relation to the overall process

My furnace was acting up yesterday and I panicked. I was not happy with last company who serviced the unit. So I did some research and Heat Cool was mentioned by a couple people as being honest and affordable - 2 traits hard to find!
I called to make an appointment. The lady explained it was $118 to come out and do a diagnostic, but since I was a new customer, there was a $40 off coupon available on their site.
A few hours later John came out. He was quick to diagnose a couple things that were going on. Luckily it was nothing major just a little cleaning and adjusting. But I really liked the

So we did get a response from HeatCool and I'm bumping them up to 2 stars solely for making an attempt to impress us with decent customer service. Seems like Bob is the only one who half-knows what's going on over there.
Apparently, the fact that a recalled unit appeared in my apt. was a misunderstanding -- the installer who brought it in was unaware that this was a unit on recall. They also assured us a tech from GE is at HeatCool right now making the necessary repairs to other defective units.
As far as a solution, I could either 1)wait a week for GE to send a tech to fix the unit
