Indoor air pollution inside the typical American home is typically 2-10 times higher than outdoor air pollution and by some estimates is responsible for as much as 50% of all illnesses. In fact, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers indoor air pollution the number one environmental health problem in the United States.
Our job as your professional home inspector is to alert you to unknown problems and potential environmental hazards in your current or potential property. Mold (fungi) is present everywhere, indoors and outdoors. There are more than 100,000 species of mold, at least 1,000 of which are common in America.
A home cannot fail an inspection. A professional home inspection gives you an independent, unbiased view of any problems and their solutions, so that you will have all the facts you need to make a sound, informed decision. Depending on the size and condition of the home, a thorough home inspection will take no more than four hours, usually between an hour and a half and three hours.

After an indoor air quality test revealed elevated mold levels in our home, we searched for a professional to help us identify the source and come up with a plan to remediate. we called multiple contractors and nobody would assist us. We heard alot of things that made us feel like there was really nothing to worry about. Then I reached out to a trusted inspector who referred me to Steve Ambro. Steve is the most competent, thorough, professional Industrial Hygenist in the business. He helped us identify the source, developed a protocol and responded to our questions quickly and thoroughly. Steve Ambro did a home inspection and no where in his 39 page report did he mention any possible water leaks from a waterline that was turned off and going to my outside faucet. on my moving day the AC repairman turned on this waterline and I noted immediately that water was running out from under my exterior siding. To go on I had 3 water leaks from this water pipe over the next 24-36 hours that has ruined my hardwood floors. Steve will not stand by his poor inspection and has refused to report this incident to his insurance company even though he is liable for the damage. I do have witnesses
