Safe-T-Sweep, Inc got its start in 1980. My father and mother were looking for an additional source of income. My father tells me that teachers were only making about $6,000 a year when he first started. He would do a couple of jobs after school and all day Saturday. My brother K.C. and I would distribute flyers in the neighborhoods where we were working.

Highly recommended. Safe-T-Sweep was prompt, professional, and efficient but also very thorough. Jon even made time to ensure we knew how to properly open our damper and safely light a fire after completing their work. A great local business - and one which I just learned my parents used back in the 80s and 90s when Jon's father ran the business. Glad we can continue the relationship with the new generation

Safe-T-Sweep is a superb choice in chimney cleaners. My neighbor referred this company to me and it is the best referral I ever received. This company was punctual, professional, clean and knowledgeable. The gentlemen cleaned my gas flue as well as my wood burning flue. I burn in excess of a cord a wood per year. My chimney, including my glass screen, never was cleaner. They left my house cleaner than when they arrived. I have referred this company to others and they plan to use them as well. Bottom line, would I use them again, yes, without any hesitation.

We used them to clean and inspect our fireplace chimney. We had a very old wood burning stove insert in the fireplace. They told us they found evidence of a chimney fire. They showed us pictures of the damage. They suggested that we contact our insurance company They worked with our insurance company and we were able to have a chimney insert and a new wood stove installed. All of the work was completed within a matter of a few weeks.

They were on time and did great work.
They were extremely careful to maintain their workspace, putting covers over our flooring/rug/furniture to make sure that everything was protected and they made sure to leave everything spotless when they were finished.
Jon even went the extra mile and cleaned out one of our gutters that he noticed was blocked while he was on the roof which was very much appreciated!
They were thorough and did excellent work and we felt that the pricing was reasonable for what we were having done.

I used this company twice in the past year. When I purchased my house I was unaware of the condition of the fireplace flue and chimney. I called many chimney sweeps (some highly recommended) and was told by all that my fireplace would require $10,000 + dollars worth of work in order to be used. After doing much research I found Safe-T-Sweep. They came out and did a no charge consultation and assured me that I would have no problem burning fires for many years to come. Hesitantly at first (only because of the other companies telling my my fireplace was destroyed) I decided to light a test fire.
