Any experienced and dedicated chimney mason should be fully equipped with a wide variety of equipment to safely access any chimney. Accessing the chimney should be done without causing damage to the roof. Typically, an aerial man lift (cherry picker), specialty scaffolding, or custom-made roof brackets are used.
Because of the severe exposure your chimney is subjected to, it will likely benefit from an application of an appropriate penetrating and breathable water repellent. Water repellents should be applied only after all necessary repairs are made to the chimney. Otherwise, applying the water repellent will likely accelerate the deterioration of your chimney rather than slow it.
Not all "sealers" or water repellents are the same! Some actually accelerate deterioration instead of assisting in preventing it! Be very careful when selecting a water repellent. In most cases, masonry chimneys are not designed to handle the venting requirements of modern high-efficiency heating appliances burning liquid propane, natural gas, oil, wood, pellet fuel, or coal.

Professional, prompt, trust worthy and great price (and just an awesome guy to talk to) What more can you ask. Will is top notch. We had multiple aspects (crown rebuild, flue, stove connections, damper work) of our chimney system replaced. Will addressed each one and developed a plan to get it done safely. Don’t go anywhere else! Thanks Will!

I had a chimney that was falling apart. Will came out, rebuilt it and put in a new stainless liner, direct connecting it to the furnace exhaust. Excellent work. The stucco work he did matched the original look of the house perfectly. I was just looking for functional, but he went above and beyond. I would use him again without question.

Will Montgomery saved my life!! Ok, not literally but he was amazing. We were selling our house. The buyer had the chimney inspected by a guy I could tell was trying to scare him. The quote came in at $13,000. I started calling around. Will's quote was $5,000 less and he told me the other guy was charging for completely unnecessary work. He was always on time and he finished the work exactly when he said he would and in time to spare before we had to close on the house. RJ, his worker, was polite and professional. I can't say enough nice things. LOOK NO FURTHER if you're in need

I recently had a chimney liner installed by Will at my home. I found him to be an honest, thorough and more than competent installer. He exceeded my expectations in completing the work on time and in a professional manner with no hidden costs. He actually completed some minor stucco repairs on the foundation of my house at no extra charge. I highly recommend Will for any chimney and/or masonry work you may need done.

Where do I begin with the services of Will and his staff and the job they did with my chimney! I had a very dire need for a chimney liner with a chimney that had essentially caved in causing an obstruction which I was not even aware of, and which was causing a dangerous risk of carbon monoxide leaking into the basement. I also had condensation from the chimney that was pouring water through the basement walls and onto the basement floor. Ugh! Will quickly and confidently diagnosed the problem, cleared the chimney obstruction and installed a quality stainless steel liner at a very reasonable cost

I hired this company to do major repairs on an old chimney with cracked mortar that was causing water leaks in the house. I dealt directly with the owner, who personally inspected the chimney and provided a very detailed explanation of the work that needed to be done. He made sure I knew exactly why he needed to do the extensive repairs he had outlined. Mr. Montgomery was an excellent communicator. He arrived promptly and worked diligently. Despite a rather extensive list of repairs, he was able to complete the project in 2 days. I recommend him unconditionally. His work was exceptional, and it
