If your chimney has not been swept for a long time then you should consider that it is time for inspection and to give your chimney a good care once - over.
A level-one chimney inspection includes is a visual check of the chimney and / or fireplace. It does not include any special equipment. We come to your house and look for possible damage, obstructions, creosote buildup, and soot so we advice you if the chimney requires sweeping. If it does need sweeping or other procedures, we will provide you with an estimate.

I contacted the 201-981-8382 number which covers Bergen and Hudson counties. They were professional and courteous. I am very happy with the quality of work. My chimney had significant cracks and gaps in the ceramic lining. Because I have over 200,000 BTUs, a stainless steel liner was not an option. The Doctor Chimney crew applied a thermocrete product called Smoktite. Based on photos and video of the work, they did a great job. The material was applied to the entire inside of the chimney flue. The thermocrete uniformly coated the entire interior of the flue. I would estimate the material thickness

I can't say enough how pleased and satisfied I am with Doctor Chimney. Ardi came to give an estimate and was knowledgeable about every aspect of the job. The fieldstone chimney of my 100+ year-old house had not been re-pointed in recent memory (maybe ever!) and my stucco heating chimney was cracked and in sad shape. The job was done today and both look beautiful. It was exactly two weeks from estimate to completion, the price was excellent. They took photos before and after. Any questions I had were answered. The service we received was exceptional. They explained in detail what needs to be done to correct our situation, and did not try to sell us anything extra. They relined our chimney with high quality stainless steel lining in about an hour and met our expectations in every way possible. The workers were very professional and friendly; and the charge for the work was very reasonable. We highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Doctor Chimney! A different chimney company came and told us our issue was not fixable and we needed to replace the part (costing $700) and there was no other option. Adrian from Doctor Chimney came and was able to fix the part in a few minutes! Will definitely use them again for any other chimney issues!

I just want to give a shout out to Doctor Chimney!! They were professional, reliable (even came on a Sunday), reasonable! I had a repair done of my chimney and cleaning My chimney is fixed and the cleaning was amazing- it does not smell of firewood at all! Don’t put off getting your fireplace cleaned or repaired.. I put mine off for too long!

Couldn't be happier. Ardi (the owner) saved the day for me and my family just yesterday. After a long struggle of having to put my wood stove out of commission due to improper and extremely unsafe installation by another company, I hired Doctor Chimney as an act of last desperation with the cold weather setting in.

Had Doctor chimney perform chimney service on my house a couple weeks ago. Overall I am happy with the work. It is a little messy, especially the flashing. It is noticeably dented and looks sloppy. The owner advised that they would be back out to fix the flashing condition. When this happens I will update my review.
The strong points are the communication, leading up to and during the work, the owner was readily available to discuss and support. Also, the leak, which was the main issue is gone. So as I stated above, overall I am happy with the work.
