My house sustained significant damage from the June 2021 tornado event in the Naperville/Woodridge area. OHI was incredibly responsive, fair and helpful from assessing our damage, installing temporary tarping and boardup all the way through completing necessary repairs and answering all questions.

Run from these guys! Lied to our face and said our roof was in horrible shape when all we actually needed was a chimney cover. They creeped around our back yard yet never even went on or looked at the roof. The guy they sent over spoke broken English, and the owners texted us gibberish.
Dynoico showed up within an hour of us calling them and actually looked at our roof. Our insurance company recommended original home improvements to us, we made sure to contact them and let them know not to recommend them to anybody else because this business is clearly a scam. IDIOTS.

It's not often I feel the need to write a review but when i found a reliable and trustworthy company that goes beyond what they're to replace and repair I felt it's best to share my experience. Tom gave me an honest expert opinion of a water damage issue from improperly installed siding. Something I was able to remedy with a ladder, $5 tube of caulk, and about an hour of my time. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Naturally, when a bigger issue came about from hail damage, you know who I called. Great service, communication, and attention to detail. These guys are the real deal. You won't be disappointed

Andy and Tom at OHI were originally referred to me by my insurance company. I figured since the insurance company wants to save money, maybe I'd get a cheaper product. I was totally wrong. These guys were AWESOME. They called/texted to keep me up to date on every day of work. They stayed on schedule, and showed up when they said they would...which is not always the case for contractors. They noticed some things that needed to be addressed, and I thought, "ok, here's where the extra cost comes in..." but no - they just took care of the problems WITHOUT it becoming a huge extra cost. Knowledgeable, fair priced and great work. Tom and Andy make great partners that work well together and work hard for their customers. They offer many services and excel at all of them. I haves used them before for a deck, now for siding and windows and will find something for them in the future. They will always be fair and honest. We all need work done on our houses and these are the guys to do it. From what I can tell, the serve people all over the Chicago area and maybe even beyond. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend.

Tom and Andy and his crew did great work on my sagging deck. The contractor that originally built it 25 years ago didn't do a particularly good job, and Original Home Improvement got everything picked up, leveled out, and properly supported. Their work crew showed up on time, were friendly and easy to deal with, and they cleaned up the work site after they were done. Couldn't recommend them highly enough. If I ever need any other sort of work done on my house, they'll definitely be the first guys I call.
