In rural areas where there is no centralized sewer system, it is common to have an underground wastewater treatment structure called a Septic System. Septic Systems use a combination of nature and proven technology to treat all the wastewater from a household produced by toilets, showers, sinks and laundry washing machines.
Regular maintenance of your septic system comes out to $250 to $500 every three to five years. This is basically the lowest possible cost to have your septic tank pumped out. A couple hundred dollars every three to five years is a huge bargain compared to the cost of repairing or replacing a failing septic system which can cost between $3,000 and $9,000.
Septic system maintenance is much, much cheaper in the long run compared to the cost of neglecting the system and letting it damage itself, sometimes beyond repair. A typical household septic system should be inspected every three years and pumped out every three to five years. Alternative systems with electrical float switches, pumps, mechanical components and alert systems should be inspected more often - once a year to be safe.

The Roto-rooter team came out to our place twice-first to “diagnose” the problem (root growth around and in the plumbing from the house to the septic tank), and then returned after the tank had been pumped to dig down and remove the roots that were clogging up the system. They all did a great job explaining the issue. Service was prompt and professional, and all four of the employees that we met were friendly.

They quoted me 1-4, they were able to get out sooner and called to make sure that was okay, it was more than okay. Joshua was nice he worked his magic. my toilets no longer gurgles, he crawled under the house inspected everything, he was very fair and upfront with pricing did not ding me for anything I did not need. He even went so far as to check my septic tank to know that it did not need to be pumped, another huge money-saving service.

They were very professional and did an amazing job. Tim was very thorough and did an excellent job fully explaining the issue we had and how he would remedy it. We had another company come out seven times in the last month and they were not able to fix our clogged sewer line, but Tim and his coworker (sorry didn’t get his name) at Roto-Rooter fixed it in under two hours. To top off great service we received, the cost was lower than the competition. Thank you so much! Recommend using them 100%.
