When compared to standard products of the same fuel type, a water heater with a higher Energy Factor rating uses less energy, resulting in both energy and monetary savings.
A furnace boiler or water heater burns fuel to generate heat and needs to put that heat into an air stream in your ducts, or into water in your pipes. The efficiency rating is what percentage of that heat gets into your air or water. What happens to the rest of the heat? It goes up the chimney and is lost into the sky.

I needed a new furnace for my home. When they finally came out to have a look, they said they would get back to me in a few days. I waited two weeks before contacting them. I've contacted them twice now and they've chosen to ignore me. It has been well over a month now. MD Heat came out and gave me a quote within two days. My experience with MD Heat in Kalkaska has been excellent.

They serviced my Cabin for over 12 years, and I never once had an issue with them. They even would plug my fridge in so my beer was cold for my first visit every year coming back north. After I sold my cabin to some family members the continue to use them and have had nothing but good things to say about them. Great service and fair prices.

We've had a lot of issues with our furnace this year, and have dealt with a number of companies in the Traverse City / Kalkaska area. Kalkaska Plumbing and Heating was by far the best. They were responsive, prompt, and spent the necessary time to truly diagnose our issue and replace multiple parts. We dealt with CJ, and he went above-and-beyond to make sure we would not need to make another call. We really appreciate their work, and would highly recommend them to anyone!
