Unreliable. I order and paid 50% of the quote in July. Was promised 4 week delivery, didn't happen. Back and forth multiple times. Finally, after the last mistake, I told Josh give me an absolute date when my awnings would be installed. And they failed!! This is 6 months from the date I gave him the deposit!! Needless to say, I don't believe it could have gone any worse. Let's see if I get my money back, I have my doubts about that too.

BEWARE- Scammer!
One star rating is way too much. This guy is a scam artist. I am finding out that he is taking money from many people and he is not refunding them. We paid him, he owes us $1500 for work that has not been done since November. Multiple no shows, no calls, just a waste of time. He was suppose to show up after 3 more times of not showing up for paying me back, he did not show, not returning calls, not returning text. I have proof of all documents, all text messages that JOSH confirmed himself that he will show up to pay me my money back.

I paid 50% deposit back in August he has promised to install at least five or six different dates with no-show no call the last contact I received from him saying the business was going to close in January and I would be getting a refund check it's been three weeks I've tried to reach out to him and he doesn't respond I'm also looking into legal action

Josh has no morals and nor integrity, as the contract deemed meaningless and futile. He stole my money and never fulfilled the job nor refunded my deposit !!
Since 11/8/2021 until this day, he has broken more than 10 "promised" dates...every time he promises

We started getting quotes for an awning for our backyard in February. Josh came out and gave us a reasonable quote. April we decided we wanted to go forward so he needed to come back out for measurements. Has us on calendar twice and didn't show them came the 3rd time in April. That should have been our clue. We were told it would take 4 weeks for supplies. Due to covid production was slow and we understood that. We scheduled the electrician to come out twice, finally showed towards end of June, and we have had our project on the schedule 3 times and no one shows up or calls to let us

This is an update to my one start review previously posted. What I found out after my less than stellar review is that this company was so behind on their installations, they did not have time to schedule my install after I bought it, but they never let me know. I was ghosted for months.
After I posted the first review, I was finally contacted by the company and it was explained to me that they were months behind in installations. I finally had my awnings installed. They are very sweet and I hated writing a bad review, but after so many attempts to contact them, I had finally given up

Update- Josh contacted me after this review and apologized for the delay and lack of comms. He offered either a deposit refund or a reduced price. He made it right in the end.
Josh the owner took my deposit 6 weeks ago and then stopped returning my wife's calls after missing several scheduled installations. I called from my number and he answered immediately and was clearly caught off guard. I spoke to him on a Friday and he scheduled a "new" installation date the following Wednesday. It is now Thursday and he will no longer return my calls now that he knows the number. No

I needed four drop-down shades for my newly built pool house.I called four different awning company here in San Diego for quotes. Josh at Sun Diego Awning gave me a price about 30% cheaper than everybody else for the exact same products. I wanted Somfy Motors and Sunbrella fabric.He came through and got it done in less than two weeks, and i also had him install a new patio awning, thank you Josh.

I would definitely recommend. I got 3 roll out and 1 fixed awning installed in early May. I am so happy with my roll out shades. They look great. I am interested to see how they do when it starts raining again but so far for the sun cover its great. I opted for manual roll out instead of electric to make it cheaper.

I was recommend Sun Diego by a friend of the family and boy was I impressed. Josh was very polite and professional over the phone and was accommodating to my schedule in making an appointment for an estimate.
The day of our appointment: It went by with no complaints from me, Josh was a very easy going. My dog Leo is very protective of our property and to our surprise he welcomed Josh within minutes of meeting him. Hey, if my dog likes you then that's a good sign! We didn't bother shopping around because we were convinced from the get go that Sun Diego and Josh earned our business.

After getting a quote from 4 awning companies I ended up going with Sun Diego Awnings and was supper happy with the results. Josh made it a very smooth ride from the first appointment to the installation. They also offer a 10 year warranty which is a big plus.
Highly recommend them if you are looking for awnings.
