We live on a steep grade and required five 18 concrete piers to be drilled 25 feet down, a door removal, a roofline retraction, customized powder-coated iron posts, repairing water damage on the house itself, and building to another company's set of drawings.

Absolutely the best contractors for decks. Lisa and Eric are a great team and their construction team is meticulous, dedicated, hardworking and true craftsman. We weren't sure what to do with our old balcony/deck and it's hideous stairs that went right into the middle of our yard. Eric came up with some ideas and we weren't sure so he had us tour an installation he did at a home nearby. He was right! It was the perfect solution. We hired them for one project and once we saw how knowledgeable and reliable they were, we added on several other items: outdoor stairs, porch, dry rot repair, and more

Lisa and team did an outstanding job in the restoration of my mom's deck. From beginning to end, they were detailed, prompt, and efficient. But most of all, the work done was excellent. The deck looks brand new again! They even corrected the annoying squeaking of the deck by replacing the many screws that were broken, and provided ventilation under the deck to prevent further problems down the road. Lisa and Eric were great to work with. We're a year into our new house, and the prior owners had built a putting green and makeshift driving range cage in the corner of the backyard. Since our family doesn't play golf, I wanted to re-capture the area and replace it with a deck.
Lisa was organized with the paperwork. Eric and his crew were professional and kept the job on schedule. They also were flexible as my ideas changed. We used Superior Decks to restore our older Ipé deck and benches. Most contractors I have worked with in the past had poor communication. From the beginning, however, I was very impressed by Lisa's responsiveness. Let me start by saying that I have hired many contractors, and I have been unimpressed with ALL of them. So, when I stumbled across the Yelp review for Superior Decks, I had to fight the urge to skip past them thinking any company that uses "Superior" in their name is likely anything but.
To my surprise, Lisa and Eric were incredibly responsive, and clear about the process. That's a great start - a contractor that calls you back promptly even in this busy time where everyone is doing home improvements during Covid. Needless to say I was impressed.

We used Superior Decks to restore our 15 year old deck and are absolutely delighted with the outcome. We had 4 estimates and Superior was very competitive with pricing. Where they stood out, was their attention to detail in preparing the deck with repairing broken boards, broken screws, loose screws, cleaning and a full day of sanding. Their prep work makes our deck look new again. Lisa responded within 36 hours to come out and view the deck and detailed the steps. She had a sample for the stain color I was looking for. From the start, Lisa was quick to respond to my inquiry (within 24 hours) and came to do an outside estimate. I committed right away and she was able to fit me into the schedule faster than expected. My decks old surface was peeling badly. My wife researched deck restoration companies. She found Superior Decks was a local business and had great reviews. After reaching out to several others in the area Lisa Rumpf was the only one to return our call. I'm so glad she did, Lisa and her crew did and awesome job. They counter sunk all the screws and sanded the entire surface. It was like new again and once the finish was applied it was smooth as silk, love it! We are very pleased. I recently selected Superior Decks to refinish my two balconies at my townhouse and I'm so thrilled with how they came out! It's really too bad that I didn't take "before" pictures to show the transformation. Lisa was great to work with and was able to fit me into the schedule faster than expected. We have a deck made of clear white cedar -- looked great at first but after a year, began to look dirty. Contacted Lisa at Superior Decks. She came by and we discussed options for applying a stain. She was knowledgeable, answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. Her crew came by the following week and finished the job in less than 2 days - power wash, sanding and stain application. They did an excellent job and we're quite pleased with the results. We used Superior Decks to replace a 30 year old redwood deck in our backyard. It was definitely time. Owners Eric & Lisa Rumpf and crew did a wonderful job in removing our old deck and replacing it with an Ipe deck. We had not considered Ipe originally, but after some research, we found that Ipe is beautiful, durable and very long lasting. Eric provided us with some design improvements over our old deck and Lisa scheduled the installation crew and kept us informed every step of the way. The whole process was essentially worry free. Our deck was a mess, old water-based stain was peeling, many areas didn't have stain anymore, even green algae was forming in areas that had pooled water after a rain or wash. We contacted Superior Decks and were very impressed with their knowledge and attention to detail. Our deck looks like new again!! Our back yard is basically our deck. Several years ago, Superior Decks added on to our decks and made some repairs. In the years hence, we "saved" some money by using others to do periodic refinishing. We needed to get it done right, so we went back to Superior. Lisa and her team came out and did an outstanding job. Just goes to show, you get what you pay for, but their price was very reasonable. Lisa was very responsive and worked wonderfully with us. This is a very professional company. My deck is 30 years old and Lisa spent a lot of time working with me to recommend what she thought would be best for my deck. She was on time, pleasant, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and did not rush through the meeting (and it was 98 degrees that day. There are so many things to consider when doing a deck restoration. She has the patience of a saint and shows tremendous respect to her clients.

The Short: Eric and his wife Lisa are just down to earth great people that did an excellent job! There crew was professional and we could not be happier with our new 1,800+ square foot deck! If I could give 10 stars I would!
The not so short: My wife and I bought a home a few years back that had a deck about a 1,000 Sq ft off the back of our house which is built right at the edge of a steep hillside. We new the deck was going to have to be replace relatively soon. When it came time for us to start getting bids on it I called several contractors. Almost all of them did not want to do the work
