It all started a long time ago - time flys, isn't it? In summer 1999 we came to America with big hopes, wide-open eyes, and expectations of something amazing. And it quickly came - Spring 2000 - "Internet bubble" burst and Dimitry end up without his computer job. But remember what John F. I keep calling Dimitry because he is honest, fair, reliable and dependable.
Look what he made me. I've always wanted a covered gate. And because of Dimitry, I got one.
Edited. I forgot two other things Dimitry did for me. I let him break through a loading wall. Would I let just anyone do that? And Dimitry asked me 20 times, are you sure? And he did a great job. It is where I'm standing during an earthquake (yes, I saw how that was constructed...solid). He created a TV room out of an unused bedroom. Plus helped me remodel my dining area.
And he remodeled my guest bathroom.

Dimitry has been wonderful, as a first time home-buyer, it has been a very frustrating experience finding things here and there that's wrong with the house.
Dimitry, put simply , did what needed to be fixed, the pricing was fair and we stayed within budget. Has been very responsive (much better than other contractors I've tried to work with) and provides sufficient explanation into his thought process on why he recommends doing something in a way.

It seems simple, but it is so hard to find a good Contractor in this area. Well if you are looking for one that shows up on time, keeps you informed, performs work with great attention to detail and has very considerate workers you should take a close look at Zen Construction.
I contracted with Zen to perform a window and door replacement project. I greatly appreciated that since is was a short project, Dimitry chose to work my project in between his larger projects which allowed my project to be completed much sooner. I also appreciated Dimitry's eye for details and his daily communications

Dimitry came on a Saturday morning, even though he had told me he didn't think our deck job was for him, I had pushed the issue and asked him to take a look. He was very professional and straightforward about what he does and gave us some advice and referrals. I will get a bid from him for sure, for future kitchen and bath jobs!

Although they couldn't help me with my project, I was very appreciative of their quick, same-day response letting me know that. It's always annoying when you wait several days or weeks for a quote, only to find out you should have been looking at other companies & you've only wasted time being strung along waiting for a reply. Not the case here, which shows that they are considerate & honest. Great qualities!

Dimitry and his team did amazing work! We started with remodelling 1 bathroom in our home and were so impressed with the quality and professionalism we quickly added on several more projects. They remodelled 3 bathrooms overall, changed our kitchen backsplash, assisted with prepping and finishing the new kitchen counters, installed pendant lights, demoed our tile floor/radiant heat system, and levelled the subfloor so we can put down hardwood in the kitchen/living room area. We hired Dimitry and his crew to remodel a bathroom and could not be happier with the results. Right off the bat we were impressed with how easy he was to work with. I interviewed 6 different contractors spread across the cost scale and was most impressed by Dimitry. Even compared to those who were giving me estimates at double what he came in with. He listens to what your vision is and helps you with planning and design. We put off remodeling our master bath for too many years, but this was the year. My wife teamed with Dimitry on the design and he and his team did a great job. He also helped us out a few years ago when we replaced some windows and a section of dry rot needed to be replaced. Besides all that competence, he's very fun to work with.

I contacted a number of contractors for a bid on a shower rehab and was pleasantly surprised by Dimitry because 1) He showed up, and 2), He was quite reasonable compared to some of the sharks that were trying to take advantage of a tight market. I checked everyone and everyplace I could think of to make sure he was legit and he was. He is pleasant and a great communicator between you and his crew who speaks little English.
