We moved into a new property, and it turned out that the furnace and hot water tank chimney was badly occluded. Jim O'Donnell came over the day after I called. He recommended replacing them with much more efficient direct vent appliances. They were replaced within the week, and he alerted me to the National Fuel rebate program, and he provided me with all the paper work to get it. I have since recommended O'Donnell Heating and Air Conditioning to several of my friends.

Jim took the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. The two installers were courteous, efficient and left everything as they found it. In the past, I dealt with a larger company.
Their service, along with the expertise of their technicians, deteriorated greatly as time went by. This was, BY FAR, a much better experience.

Our AC unit needed to be replaced with a new blower installed in a very small crawl space. O'Donnell came in with a very good price and did an excellent job in challenging spaces during a pandemic. The workers were careful on all accounts. The blower had some issues and the team returned quickly and resolved the issue. We are now enjoying a very comfortable space with a quiet blower! I would recommend this company.

I received my AC through HEAP's Cooling Assistance Program. My installation appt. was originally for this Thursday, but they were very nice & moved it up to today (Monday). The tech did a wonderful job; there were only 2 minor things he missed, but I am extremely satisfied regardless.

I've used O'Donnell for a few minor things but this time was a disaster. It started off with an extremely high quote on a part plus labor. I started to loose trust when the girl answering the phone and what O'Donnell himself had told me were different. I did a little research and made a few phone calls and found they lied to me big time and even tried to sell me a new furnace that I didn't need. Now that we have internet we don't have to be taken advantage of . Look up the price on parts , check with other professionals, and don't trust this actor.

Would not recommend this company to an enemy. I had a service tech come out from another company to check on the furnace O'Donnell's installed and they noticed that the ground wire was cut, and taped to a panel. They never hooked up a ground wire to the furnace at all. Not only is this dangerous, it is illegal. I am a renter so I had the landlord call and the owner of O'Donnell's , who I found out did the initial install, the owner was condescending and vulgar. The landlord was just was trying to give them the opportunity to rectify their error. After hearing this, I was disgusted

This review is not based on a service but on the professionalism of the office in general. I called to see if they service my furnace using for a warranty related issue. The lady I spoke with advised they aren't authorized for my particular furnace but she looked up everything for me to find a company that could assist me. They definitely went above and beyond to help me even though they couldn't service my furnace. Hard to find any company willing to assist you when making lots of money off of you and extremely rare to find one that would assist when not many any.

Disappointed. My 1 star review is similar to an existing review. They came out that cold day but 3 hours late. Barely looked at my older boiler and said parts were not available and not worth repairing. He recommended a $4000 new one. They sent a salesman instead of a repairman when I was at my neediest. I emphasized that I could not afford that at this time and asked if he could please repair. He said I could finance a new one. He practically ran out the house when he could not sell me a new unit saying he would look in warehouse and definitely get back to me that day. He never did and left me

My furnace would not turn on a week ago so after reading reviews I called O'Donnell Heating. Made an appointment and their service tech showed up on time. He checked everything over and advised me that my furnace was okay. The problem was with my wi-fi thermostat. It wasn't sending the proper voltage to allow the furnace to work. He asked if he could try a few things with it, since it would cause it to lose my wireless network connection. Our furnace stopped working on Friday afternoon. Tried calling numerous companies. Mostly the calls were answered by an answering service so I couldn't get any idea if or when they'd call back, let alone come out. The businesses who did answer said they could probably come Monday. Since it was supposed to go down to single digits that night we were running out of options. I called O'Donnell, got an actual employee who said let me call the boss and he'll call you back. Very disappointed. My furnace broke a few days ago while it was snowing and chilly temperatures. We usually have a family friend come help us out but he was out of town and due to the cold temp, we were worried about the pipes breaking. They were able to come the day we called, which is why I gave them two stars. But the man came into our house, took the door off the furnace, read that it was 21 years old and told me we need a new furnace for $3,500. The bill was completely illegible, so who knows what they said was actually wrong with it, and we were charged $85. I find that absolutely ridiculous
