This is not your typical rug store where "everything is on sale" or they are constantly "going out of business". It is a low key show full of fantastic hand woven carpets from all over the middle east and central asia. Superb collection, fair prices, and no sales pressure.

This is my 3rd time cleaning this rug, was very dusty, Ali did an awesome job, it looks like new and not a bit of dust. Thank you so much!

Ali is extremely helpful and good natured. We had a rug my husband brought back from Turkey that had become frayed on one end so needed repair, and the rug also needed a serious cleaning. I had seen Wool & Knots in Bethesda for many years and decided to give them a try, and I am glad I did. Ali obviously knows rugs and he is willing to work with customers in getting timely service, and also showing you the various rugs he has in his inventory. He has many beautiful rugs in his store, and we may end up purchasing something there, as his rugs are of good quality and unique.

Wool and Knots is one of the most authentic and high quality Oriental Rug stores in Washington area and I can attest to that from personal experience.

Brought my carpet in to get cleaned and told the owner that there was a cat urine odor in the carpet. I understand that it is tough to get the odors out completely but he assured me it would be better once I got the carpet back. A few weeks later he called me and told me the carpet was ready to pick up. I asked him whether the odors were still there and he replied "no, the carpet smells good." I went to his store and paid him $120 to clean a carpet that was about 4' x 7'. I got home and laid the carpet out and it smelled exactly the same. Very disappointed and will not

My wife and I went into Wool and Knots Inc on Sunday and were really happy to see all the selections of rugs. We didn't know what we were really looking for, luckily the really nice gentlemen named Ali who is actually the store owner was very nice and helped us out. We don't actually live in Bethesda, MD but just out of town, but we saw that this was the number one store for the Bethesda area so we decided to stop by. Lucky we found this place the prices were awesome and the quality of the rug is awesome. Recommend this place to anyone looking for unique rugs.
