I purchased an outside entrance "unbound" rug that clearly says "unbound" in its "product" description. Then, I went in to purchase what I thought was exactly the same, but they had "bound" not in the main product description and unlike the first one; I paid almost ninety dollars for each for 3x10' outside rug.

Worst experience ever!!!. Would not recommend buying from this company . Rug was defective and they wanted to charge us a 25% restocking fee. We sent pictures of the defective rug, humps in the rug that wouldn't flatten out after 3 weeks. Followed instructions included in shipment as well as several other ways to remove humps that were unsuccessful. After arguing with them, they finally agreed not to charge a restocking fee. Told us to just keep the rug and not return it as they didn't want it back. Then they called us back and said return it . We also emailed the manufacturer Milliken and they

Oh, was pleasantly surprised as the rug is exactly what I was hoping for, works with my decor! It was packaged well and read the earlier reviews, but the taping is needed for shipping purposes and I didn’t lose a strand. Added my padding and opened it and its laying flat awaiting my furniture. Wearing socks walking on it after a week feels fine. I’m happy with my purchase!

Beware: There are too many honorable businesses to waste your time with this dishonest business. I ordered a rug pad for my long antique Persian runner. They sent me a rug pad but it was not the one I asked for. Not only did it not have any rubber backing, but it was so slippery the minute I laid it down under our runner my son walked on it, went flying out from underneath him and he hit his head on the island. I'm writing this review as a business customer who orders directly through Koeckritz, not Amazon. We've used them many times over the past 5 years for all of the area rugs (which go over hardwood) in our four floors of office space. They are budget friendly, efficient, have many options for customization, and the customer service has been above average. Buyer beware! Misleading descriptions on website, incorrect info about face weight vs actual total weight per square yard (which they don't provide), lots of contradicting info in descriptions as well.
I called them TWICE before I placed an order to verify total weight and details etc, they sent me a rug 3x heavier and bulkier than described! This was for supposed to be for portable use and rolling up on a regular basis, and it weighs about 100lbs and nearly 3ft thick when rolled up!
Wanted to return it given their "30 day return policy" but they refused to offer free return

I ordered my custom rug on March 6 and received a confirmation receipt immediately, received a notice 9 days later that my order was completed, and four days after that my rug was delivered. So, it was a custom rug, approx 25x3 ft, and it took about 13 days to deliver from my order time. Not too bad really. I've had worse experiences ordering direct from companies online, that's for sure. And, this is different because the item has to be custom made.
I think the trick with this company is to go to their website and order directly from them rather than going through ebay or amazon. I

Recently I ordered a Rug Online through their online store. They also have an Amazon store but the online prices were 20% less with a coupon on their website so that was an incentive to order online. The process was extremely smooth. I also spoke to the customer service after I placed an order and I found out that they have a rather large warehouse and is not one of those fly by night stores. I totally disagree with the One Star rating for Koeckritz. I recently ordered a custom cut 12x15 outdoor carpet and it arrived about 10 days later. (Not unreasonable for a custom order plus shipping time.) Unfortunately it was damaged in transit. I took photos of the damage and immediately contacted the company. They IMMEDIATELY responded, expediting a replacement rug and within two days it was on its way to me. It took another few days to arrive--and is now on my back patio where it is absolutely perfect. This company is a joke! Unfortunately, they are an Amazon Marketplace merchant, so I thought I could trust them. I ordered a rug on 6/19 and received a shipping acknowledgement of 6/19 - 6/21. After not receiving a shipping acknowledgement, I contacted Amazon on 6/22. They apparently checked with Koeckritz and were informed that the item would ship that day, and that I could expect an acknowledgement by Sunday. Monday, when I had yet to receive a shipping acknowledgement, I again contacted Amazon. Only then am I told the item had been discontinued. I took the liberty of phoning the manufacturer
