Just had both of my fireplaces serviced. Tim my technician was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through what he was going to do and how to care for both fireplaces. Our 20+ year old fireplaces look and are working like new. Will use in the future and recommend to family and friends.

Tim, of Gates Fireplace Services did a fantastic job of servicing, cleaning and updating my fireplace. It was night and day compared to my last service from a different company. He completely disassembled my fireplace, cleaned and refurbished it. The last service did some vacuuming and cleaned the glass. No comparison. He was professional, friendly and very competent. I see Gates as one of a very few professional services left. I couldn't have had a better experience, especially as a 71 year old woman that is looked upon as someone easy to take advantage of.

After calling 5 different places to have my fireplace repaired with 3 never calling back at all and 2 others being booked out until the end of December, I called Jeff. Should have called him first. He too was booked out for several weeks but offered to see if we could fix the issue ourselves while he walked us through the procedure over the phone. It worked and saved both of us a service call. Sending him a check anyway. Would not hesitate to recommend and use him again!

Jeff serviced our two gas fireplaces this morning. Some parts needed replacement, and both needed to be cleaned and updated. Jeff serviced and updated the fireplaces in our new home- a 2 sided in the living room and a 3 sided in the bedroom. The living room fireplace had stopped working recently and neither fireplace had been serviced or cleaned in a LONG time by the prior owners.
After getting everything clean, serviced and in working order, Jeff painted all the brass a matte black, removed the fake screens, and replaced the faux ash at the bottom with fire glass.
I also received an education about the limits of safely updating/modernizing my fireplace- always a good thing for a DIYer like myself.
