Armstrong Roofing
We're your go-to specialists when it comes to residential and commercial roof installations. Traditional rustic beauty with durability, versatility and environmentally-friendly characteristics. With a wide range of choices, a composition roof is one of the most common & most popular. In addition to their intrinsic beauty, elegance, and exceptional aesthetics, they offer amazing benefits.

Metal roofing in many durable colors and profiles can enhance any residential or commercial design. Unlike some roofing contractors, we welcome the opportunity to provide repairs vs. new installation. If we can help protect your home or commercial investment with repairs to your existing roof, we're happy to do so!

With years of experience dating back to the early 1990's, we know this business. If you are contemplating a new roof installation, or are concerned about the true condition of your existing system, you've come to the right place! Studies indicate that when a roof is not properly maintained, it will only last about one-half of its expected service life.
Services
As a family-owned and operated business since 1992 with experience that spans the entire range of new roof construction types, re-roofing, and repairs numbering in the thousands for residential and commercial structures, we know how to keep the process uncomplicated and stress-free for our customers.
Armstrong Roofing has been serving residential and commercial customers throughout King, Pierce, Thurston, and Kitsap counties for over 25 years. We offer free advice, free estimates within 10 minutes, and roof inspections within 24 hours. Drop us a line, or better yet, send us a text or give us a call.
The only thing that wears out your roofing is the radiation from the sun, it breaks down the oil in the roofing and after a set amount of time depending on the amount of oil in the shingle the material is unable to expand and contract with the temperature changes and starts to crack and become brittle.
Once and a while I have to hire a roofer and was finding it hard to figure out which ones were lying about their abilities. So, I came up with a simple test to figure out how much they knew about roofing and was shocked at how little roofers know about their trade. To know if you're working with an amateur, ask him to name the 4 types of metal around the chimney any good roofer can do this - fakers can't.
With years of experience since the early 1990's, we're your go-to specialists when it comes to roof installation services for residential and commercial structures. If you have reached a decision to replace a roof on your residential or commercial building, this may be the time to consider the type of new system you prefer.

On April 18, 2020 I had a new roof replacement on my house in Spanaway and the owner Troy Wagner of Armstrong Roofing and his crew did an EXCELLENT Job who took their time in completing my roof, very professional, courteous , clean and most of all affordable. I wish that I met him before to do my other rental properties since I'm a Landlord and he never asked for a down payment nor sign a contract which is unheard of. They did an awesome job I give them 5 STARS on my book and some.

BEWARE using ARMSTRONG ROOFING
We hired Armstrong Roofing after getting quotes from 3 different companies and taking the most affordable price of $18,400, probably not the best way to pick companies as we all know.

We were scheduled for 12/16/19 and due to some weather issues it was going to be moved to 1/7/2020 and we asked if it could be done earlier and were told they could start on 12/18/19 with a 5-7 day finish day. Rain was forecasted throughout this time however we were never discouraged from doing it and figured as professionals they knew what they were doing. The work started on 12

Excellent experience. Fair, competitive bid amongst 6-8 different bids. Excellent, high-quality shingle. Crew was thorough, on time, professional, and fast. They covered our shrubs, windows, lawn, etc., to protect them. When they left, it looked like they had never been here. Not even a tiny piece of single anywhere. Scanned the area with nail magnets over and over to make sure they left no nails as well. We requested and received their license and insurance up front. We didn't pay until it was finished and we were satisfied as well.

The most awful experience my mother had to go through. My mother paid $10,500.00 in December of 2017 for a new roof (without my knowledge.) Today is the 6th of November 2018 and her roof looks like it was used for job training for new roofers. My mother is in her 60s with a heavy Spanish accent. I called Mr. Troy Wagner to get some type of understanding of the situation and automatically off the back he hollers "your mother is a liar." At this point I am now wondering how he spoke to my mother. My mind is spinning on how this man even gains business with this hollering and nasty attitude

A simple phone call is what it took for me to review this place. Long story short, this place needs better customer service. (note that this is review on a phone call inquiry, not his service. reading from other people's experience, I am glad I don't have to review his service)

First of all, Troy thought I was a telemarketer, so he was trite and uninterested in my inquiry. But when he found out I was calling in to get service possibly, he suddenly changed his voice in tone. I get that we are all annoyed with telemarketers, but it certainly doesn't feel good when I am treated like

Had a TERRIBLE experience with this company, but it makes for a good story now that it's behind us. I could go on for about ten pages about just how terrible and comical it was.

I made sure to get on their schedule five months in advance, because I know the roofing season here is very short, given our rainy climate. However, we somehow still ended up with the crew they scraped out of the bottom of the barrel. We had about seven different "crews" come out to try to fix our roof.

The first "crew" of two guys worked so slowly that my grandmother could have done it

If I could give zero stars, I would. Left nails all outside my garage. Which resulted in one of our cars having two nails in a tire, and our other car had a combo of 4 in 2 tires!!! So I went looking, and found 10 more in the driveway.
Because of their negligence, I have to spend more money.

Don't bother. Sloppy dudes. Leaving a sloppy mess. Horrible company.

Unprofessional and unrealiable. Damaged my skylight frame to the point where water pours in the ceiling. Stovenpipe was way off center and now has a gap on the inside of my ceiling even with the cover that gives room for error and hides a majority of gap. Not enough to hide the choppy work that had been done. Left trash from food and drinks in front yard and roofing all over the yard. Had to replace the skylight myself to avoid huge amounts of interior damage from water just pouring in. Had to make a trip to the dump on my on dime to throw away all the trash left by the crew. I have an ugly gap

I talked to Troy over the phone and he is definitely a straight shooter, and a honest guy. He gave me a S.W.A.G on the cost up front to repair the leak in my roof without trying to sell me a 20k roof, for that I will give 4 stars. I would do business with him again, however I do see a pattern from all the other reviews, of missing appointments with no communication. We had a set time and his employee didn't show up for work for my appointment. This wasn't communicated to me until few hours later. Troy rescheduled and was able to make that appointment which things went well thus far

I contacted Troy on Friday, and by Sunday (game day of all days) he had a contractor out to my house working first thing in the morning. Normally, this would be a great timeline, but this appointment was made without confirming with me what time/date. At 8am on Sunday, I received an email and call asking when I would be there, but my phone is shut off for most of Sunday. Luckily I turned my phone on at 8:30 and received these messages, which resulted in me flying across town in under 15 minutes. I was ultimately blamed for not being present by Troy. Dennis, the contractor on-site, was able to tell

Troy is great. As a Realtor, I have called on Troy for roof work on numerous occasions. He is always a straight shooter. The bids are competitive and the work is very good. I will continue to recommend Troy to friends and clients of mine.

After reading the reviews and "lines getting crossed"/missed appt, I was nervous about hiring Armstrong, but they pulled through! We saved $300 or so, going with Armstrong, but most importantly our 2008 roof looks almost brand new!! Shay sprayed the debris from the windows, walls, and both front porch and back patio! He even sprayed our neighbors side yard!! He was here until dark cleaning up. I had a great experience once Shay was here! My neighbors were asking for his card and I plan to recommend them to anyone. Thank you for a job well done!

What a joke! This company was contracted by my rental agency to clean our roof. He called me directly to schedule a time. I asked if he could come on a Friday in the morning (two days later) explaining that my husband works the overnight shift and sleeps during the day and Friday mornings he usually stayed up a bit later. He understood and said he would be there that coming Friday. Friday came and went and he never showed or called. Instead he decided to send someone out rhe following Wednesday in the afternoon to trample on our roof and wake my husband up (imagine being woke up at 2am for

Had an a.m. appointment with Armstrong Roofing so stayed home from work to wait for him. Waited about 1/2 hour beyond the appointed time and then called. He said he forgot about the appointment, was about an hour away, and could come by in the afternoon. So we set up an appointment for that afternoon. I went to work and again took time off to meet him. And...? Yep, you guessed it, he was again a no show. I didn't bother to call back this time. Rude and inconsiderate are the words that come to mind -- his time is important, mine is not so I can be ignored.

I initially called Armstrong

We needed a whole new roof. We had a half dozen roofing companies give us estimates and out of all of them the only one who seemed to know what he was doing was Jim from Armstrong Roofing. He got up on our roof and was able to point out all 3 leaks within moments. Not only was he the most knowledgable, but he also had the best price.
When we called to hire them, they started 2 days later, on Valentines Day. It had sprinkled that morning so they got a later start than expected. Once they started they were very aware of the weather and made sure to only tear off what they could recover the same
