It's astounding to me that this company has any positive reviews whatsoever. I had a list of pretty easy home improvement projects for JW to perform (easy in that any handyman would have been able to complete them, so I've since learned my lesson), and the contractors not only performed the job extremely slowly, but they didn't do any of the work correctly. Our shower door handles were installed backwards, our ceiling fan was installed with the extender attached on an already low ceiling, and our bathroom faucet had the handles aimed downward, instead of outward.

Communication is through a call center, wait to get to rep. Then they ask a lot of irrelevant questions before scheduling a visit. Salesman came out, had no suggestions, no ideas on the project, was unable to answer questions. We would need to order the new door ourselves, but he was unable to provide any specs for us to use. Everything done at hourly rate, no firm estimate provided, just gave a verbal ballpark of hours required, pretty high. He wanted to schedule on the spot. We asked for a written proposal, he said he would send it. Never heard from him again. Just no.

Overpriced for installing a screen door I already paid for. While they were on time and did a good job on 7/8, I would not recommend or choose them for any future work. Here is the breakdown of charges.
Securing an appointment on 6/14: $50.

The guys were great. They showed up early almost every day and did an awesome job. They did repairs on my porch and painted. They also remodeled my bathroom. They had excellent suggestions when on-site conditions required changes. They were very professional and wore masks. I've used them before and will definitely see them again. Highly recommend them!

Not a good experience here. They sent a salesman to estimate the job; estimated price of the work to be done was high, but I'm not home much or often so I went ahead with it; they scheduled me for a date six weeks out from the estimate date(!); I had to come back to town to meet them for the job, but the day before the work was to be done I called to make sure we were all set and they said "it might rain tomorrow, so we're not going to come out to do the work. Oh where to start with this company! Well, they did hit the trifecta: overpriced, shoddy work and unreliable. (to be fair, the overpriced part is my fault as I should have just said no).
I had a roof leak it and it ended up on my master bath ceiling and leaking onto the floor. The section of drywall to repair was probably 4' x 4'. Fix the leak up top and repair the ceiling. Replaced Old Gutter System.
It was a great job. I've used JW Home Improvement before for inside small jobs. The estimate was well within the average for the job. The crew that came to do the removal of the old gutters and install the new system was terrific. Mr. Thomas Matamoros was the crew chief with assistance from Kevin and Gary. So happy we found Jesse and his crew. Jesse's crew showed up and finished the job of another handyman crew. His team is efficient and they do great work. They did painting, concrete repair, electrical work, carpentry work and more. You get what you pay for and our investment in JW Home Improvement was a very worthwhile one.

Called them and they told me they needed to help someone out and that they would call me in back in 5 minutes. Waited two hours and no one called me back. I called again, gave them all my information, and they told me again that they would call me back to schedule a visit. They never called me back. Dodged a bullet, I suppose.

Kevin and Soren from JWHI have been working in my home for three days now, and they have been wonderful! I have needed chandeliers hung and most of my electrical outlets to be switched out. In addition, I needed powerwashing of the back patio and the front walk, along with replacement of lots of loose grout and replacement of rotting boards in the deck area. The work they did was excellent, and both Kevin and Soren were very professional and a delight to work with. They are returning in a couple of weeks to install a new cupola on my garage roof to replace one which was completely blown off

I have used JW before on various handyman services on my rental properties but it has been probably 2 years since so I did not remember their hourly rate. I was given different information at the time of scheduling the estimate of the job and the project manager I spoke with wanted to go through the phone recordings to verify this. I have no issues of him doing so since I was not lying about being told incorrect information on the minimum hours for a job or that they would honor a current promotion going on, but for him to do so makes it feels like the customer

TLDR: Worst customer service I've ever received in my life. Work was subpar & I had to fight with them for months over it before they finally made it right. They make you a priority if you write a review. Otherwise, they're terrible at returning calls.

Thank you so much for the excellent service. The mechanics, Luther and Samuel, did a great job which made the entire process a pleasure to do business with your company. I will definitely use your services again. The original estimate for 2 men X 2 days was cut in half by the mechanics who worked like two synchronized swimmers.

I should have asked for my Angie's List deposit back and hired someone else. The two guys took forever installing two shower heads, two medicine cabinets, and two closet organizers. Surely, with two men working, the organizers should have taken 2-3 hours, tops. They installed the shelves wrong and that made the drawers misalign. When I told them about it, they said, "It's how they go." No. They did not. I explained to them showing them the instructions they claim to have read that the shorter shelf goes on the bottom for the drawers, which will them stack evenly on top of each
