The Stove Barn

We purchased a Vermont Castings gas stove from the Stove Barn. We are so impressed with this company, the products they sell, but most of all, by their employees. (We purchased a wood stove from them years ago and had a similar experience then) Maryanne helped us choose the stove that best fit our needs, our space and our decor. She arranged all of the install appointments for us. When the stove came in earlier than expected, they actually moved up our install appointment! When James arrived at the house he was so pleasant and got right to work and finished every aspect of the job from the stove

Terrible customer service. We tried to get a CNG insert installed. After waiting 5w for a “consultation” we were told the estimate would follow shortly. After two months and numerous calls, we heard nothing.
Save yourself some time and go elsewhere.

Conned into buying a raveli stove. Cost me 4500 dollars. Suppose to last 10 to 20 years. Lasted 4 had a problem with it every year.
Broke again. Now cannot have it fixed even if I want to. No one around here knows how to fix them and you cannot get parts anywhere. Ravelli does not even have a phone number on record.
So just 4 years later I have to dish out another 4500 for another stove because stove barn lied and sold me a lemon stove from a lemon company.
These people robbed us with a defective product.

I needed immediate living room gas stove repair. These fine people were not available for 2 1/2 weeks, which is understandable. They recommended a gentleman they refer to in these cases and he was available in 4 days. Now that's just plain good business. Thank you stove barn!!!!!

We recently purchased a Napoleon propane fireplace insert from the Stove Barn in Concord, NH. The staff at the showroom were knowledgeable and helpful in selecting an insert which would fit our needs and also be in line with our budget.
Unfortunately, the first unit we selected would not fit in the allotted space. James, the installer, asked us to consider a different unit. That second unit arrived more quickly than we anticipated and a date was set for the installation.
James, and his assistants, were professional and thorough and paid meticulous attention to the smallest detail. Once the installation

Went searching for a gas fireplace that would be installed in our newly constructed home in Maine, but quickly learned we couldn't buy from a retailer who cannot service it. However, we learned a great deal from one of the sales people there - Maryann- who was extremely helpful in teaching us about the different types of gas fireplaces, and telling us the things to look out for when we do buy one (in Maine). If our new construction was being done in the Concord area, we would have bought from the Stove Barn!

Had an excellent experience with the installation of my gas heating stove, beginning with the salespeople down to James, who did the installation. Very thorough and friendly, and James went above and beyond, I would say, by noticing and installing a door stopper to ensure that my porch door would not hit the stove. He was even friendly to my nosy cat! It was an absolute pleasure to work with these folks...

I recently purchased a wood burning fireplace insert from the Stove Barn. I researched several places, and although another place came up slightly cheaper, I really liked that The Stove Barn did a site evaluation first. I learned so much then (James is terrific) and more during the installation. It was well worth the extra few bucks. They take pride in their work, answer questions thoroughly and are nice people to work with. I was very impressed from start to finish.

Great installation and stove selection. I got a nice new Napoleon Fireplaces installed by their tech James. He was very knowledgeable and professional while still feeling like a family run experience.

Stove Barn sales and install were great and our heating bills have been deeply slashed this winter (and we won't need more than a cord of wood). Great people, great product. Really knowledgeable about what will work in your space.

Morgan, the owner's daughter, was very patient, knowledgeable, & helpful during the process on getting my wood stove running. The prices on certain items were high. However, the cost of standard 24 gauge black matte stove pipe is good. Overall, I would consider shopping there down the road.

Great little place across from Shaws on Loudon Road. They sell a wide variety of stoves for pellet and wood burning. I go there regularly to fill my propane tanks because they are the cheapest in town., The people who run the place are very knowledgeable and friendly to boot.

Stove barn is a hidden gem in Concord, NH. My wife and I stumbled upon this store on a Saturday afternoon while out shopping in Concord.. We decided to check this place out since I grew up around wood stoves and we were looking for a better alternative than our crappy fireplace in our new home.

Our fist impression of the store was.... WOW.... this place was very cozy with many different demo stoves running. We were greeted by James (the owner's son) who answered every question we could think of. James guided us to a Napoleon wood stove insert for our heating needs.

After about two weeks

I recently purchased a napoleon 1402 wood stove insert from the stove barn. I was very impressed by the no pressure sales staff as I was trying to determine which stove and company to purchase the stove from. They were very accommodating when scheduling the instillation with my busy schedule. They installed the stove quickly and it looks and performs great. They gave me very good information on how best to run my stove and maintain it in the future.

To give a fair and balanced review, we'll start with the good- our stove is installed and looks great and our house is really warm. Unfortunately, we can't highly recommend Stove Barn because we had a lot of issues in dealing with them throughout the purchasing and installation process. The two main issues involved the permitting process and being mislead to purchase a stone hearth to go under our stove. When we purchased our stove, we were told by a Stove Barn representative that they would take care of the permit needed for installation; however, when we asked the installer if the permit
