Premier Solar NW serves Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. Started in 2011 and based in Portland, OR, our experienced team completes projects efficiently and professionally, while keeping in mind the aesthetics of your home. Our staff is enthusiastic about solar and about being a part of the clean energy future.

Faq Report

Contrary to belief, solar energy is not only effective during the day or brighter seasons such as the spring and summer. Long sunny summer days from May to October provide plenty of sunlight, with daylight hours reaching from 5 AM to 10 PM.

Does Solar Work Here Report

Solar works very well here in the Northwest. Even taking into account our cloudy weather throughout much of the year, solar is our most abundant renewable energy resource. In fact, the Portland/Vancouver area receives as much annual solar energy as the national average. Another reason solar works in Southwestern Washington and Portland is because we have long, mild summer days which make up for our cloudy winters.

We enjoyed our interactions with Premier Solar NW. They were good to work with and very professional. The only small hitch we had was that they initially told us we couldn't put some of the equipment on the side of the house where we wanted it. Then later the installers told us we could have done it there. But in the grand scheme this is a very minor thing. I highly recommend Premier Solar NW. We talked with one other company, but our conversations with Premier were more relaxed, casual and just not as high-pressured. Premier was also quite a bit less expensive.

We had a complex solar installation on our home due to a steep roof that also had concrete tiles. The Premier Solar NW team were able to come up with a safe and creative solution to the challenges and we are now enjoying using cleaner energy! Thanks to everyone for not giving up on this challenge. Note that we are still awaiting the installation of a backup battery due to shortages that have put them on backorder. We look forward to having that installed by Premier Solar NW when ready as well.

Everyone at this company is kind and professional. To be honest, we had a lot of bumps along the way that delayed the system setup by a few months, none that were the fault of Premiere- supply chain issues with the battery and then some sort of problem with the system software. Their tech Tim was awesome and worked to get everything running correctly. He took a lot of time to explain to us how everything works, and I know if we had any issues they'd be right back over. The system they put in is producing wonderfully, we're really happy with the size they recommended and it's so gratifying

Through my own research and the referral of a friend, I chose Premier Solar Northwest to install my 14kW PV system. They won the job with an excellent initial sales presentation (Dan) and excellent pricing on quality equipment. Through all aspects of the project, communication was great and they always delivered what they said they would. Everyone in the organization seemed to be on the same page and each performed their job with high professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

From start to finish Premier Solar did an excellent job. I had two buildings with separate power source, bills etc. A bit more involved than just installing the panels on one building. We had to disconnect PGE, add power with a trench between buildings to get down to one power source for both buildings. Tim was all over all these details and rocked it out perfect! All the county permits and dealing with PGE was all done by Premier. Professional team of people across the board. So, glad I went with these guys for my solar install. Easy financial help with tax incentives and who to finance the panels

Premier was top notch throughout the entire process of bidding and installing our 10kwh solar panel system, new main smart panel, new main power line, new meter, ground rods, and StorEdge Inverter. The salesmen Dan presented well and answered all our questions. The company owner Cliff was proactive in walking us through all our options, including the types of panels, financing and how using Puget Sound Credit Union would get us a great rate for the long term and how EnerBank short-term financing would get us through until the federal tax credits were received. Dan was incredibly quick (less than 1 hour) to answer sales inquiries about their solar installation and gave informed recommendations on battery backup vs. generator backup questions. Just signed up with Premier Solar Northwest. We have contracted for a 26 panel (8.32kW) system with 320w Panasonic N320K panels and Enphase IQ7X micro inverters. We worked with Dan Tracy. The system Dan offered exceeded the quality, price, and performance of competing systems. Dan is very knowledgeable and he overcame our fears of roof penetrations. Dan's proposal was provided promptly and he made time to work around our schedules. Dan even helped us with a one time fixed price transferable option to dismount and remount the array and racking in case our array outlast our new roof or we otherwise

I have honestly never had a better experience with a home installer or remodeler or anything. Quick, forthright, responsive to all of my questions and concerns. They were proactive at every step. We had 40 panels installed in two days. The county inspection was done the following day and the PUD had the net meter installed two days later. We had solar working in FIVE DAYS!!! The system that they install allows us to monitor our panels and to know how much electricity they're generating. And the products they use enrolled us in an 8-year WA program to put money back in our pockets.
