Prices were competitive with other area places I visited, but the selection was much better. They did the install quickly and it looks great. I got the fireplace oak log gas insert. This company sold me a new Enviro insert unit that was not complete - it was missing parts. The installer they hired informed me 3 years ago the unit wasn't complete and that he had to return to finish the install. He told me not to pay for the installation until the parts were installed. He took the remote telling me that I shouldn't start the fireplace. Bay Area Fireplace lost track of the parts missing, insisted I was lying, and never returned to the job site when we withheld payment for an incomplete installation and missing parts. I've got a 20 year old Majestic gas fireplace that I loved until it stopped working. I'm pretty handy and set to fixing it myself. What I learned is that tons of these old Majestic fireplaces have died, the gas valve goes bad and that particular valve model is discontinued. It seemed like it would take some expertise to retrofit a different valve and remote and still preserve all of the functionality of the original unit. It was time to surrender this job to someone with more experience.

TERRIBLE customer service. Last Saturday I ordered a $276 consultation and was told I would get a phone call on Monday to schedule the consultation. I didn't receive the call on Monday so I called the store back and was told it would be Tuesday or Wednesday. Nobody called me on Tuesday or Wednesday, so I sent an email on Wednesday night asking for the consultation scheduling the next day or my money back. I got a call the next day from the store and they told me someone would call later that day to schedule. Nobody called. Now I'm asking for my money back and nobody is responding. STAY

I got Hash to help me over the phone with professional, precise and effective instructions. After A regular clean up that I did for the back of the glass face, I could not get the fireplace to start. But, within a few minutes on the phone, Hash guided me a step-by-step to isolate the problem. We found a loose wire and got it fixed while he was online.

Thanks again to Hash and his crew for an excellent job well done. Today we had our annual fireplace check up to keep our favorite room toasty and warm during the winter months. Bay Area Fireplace showed up ON TIME ready to work and fully COVID compliant. Any parts replacements were in hand and readily installed saving time and money. I wanted a new fireplace screen and wanted to support a local business. I placed my order with Bret. The screen was made to the measurements I provided, but it was too long. I brought the screen back and asked Bret what the options were to correct the issue. He provided me the phone number of the manufacturer. I needed to call them. So, if you have a problem, you are provided no customer service. He also said that they might be able to modify a screen for me and he would contact me the first of the week. To date, no contact. Unfortunately, the fireplace manufacturer only handles issues through their authorized dealers, so we have to go through them to get any replacement parts or deal with anything that goes wrong.

Look no further! Jerry was extremely helpful in getting us an extremely competitive price on our Chicago Series 40" fireplace by Regency. Afterwards, Hash and his crew executed flawlessly (see photos). Hash overly communicates project scope and outlines related effort in the statement of work / quote. One of the worst places to visit for a fireplace. Extremely rude and unwilling to help you out. The employees here choose what they want you to get and they let your awesome thoughts go to waste. The fireplaces they recommend are a horrible selection. If you want good quality of fireplace and good customer service don't go here.

Excited to begin the process of renovating our fireplace and turning our ambiguous room into a Snuggle Den; we went to Bay Area Fireplace. (The first time we went, we waited outside with other people for them to open; but they never did). Had a fireplace insert put in and the old '70's style stoned replaced. Hash did a great job. We also asked that he include the bookcase (on the left) and add lighting and a wall mount for the TV. Everything was superb when done. Scheduling was a bit late because everyone wanted completion of their projects by Thanksgiving 2017. We missed that by two weeks. That aside Hash was wonderful to work with, is very creative and works hard.

I bought an outdoor fireplace from these guys in January 2018. Unfortunately it only worked for a few months before breaking. Despite six different attempts to have them come and service the fireplace (phone, email, etc.), and promises of a call-back or a date/time, many weeks have elapsed with absolutely no response. Now they just ignore my emails and no one calls me back. I've now made formal complaints to the manufacturer.
Avoid at all costs if you want any service for products this company sells.

The fireplace itself is gorgeous but the customer service here has been EXTREMELY SUBPAR. I ordered a very nice marquis skyline II from Bay Area fireplace. They took my money and it went all down hill from there.
After they installed my fireplace, I call to tell them the fan was loud and would not turn off. They told me that's how it's suppose to be (which for paying that much for a unit would be ridiculous). Luckily, they had to come back to deliver the faceplate so they were going to recheck it.

We absolutely love the work Bay Area Fireplace did in our home. We ordered glass doors and some metal work for the frame and it fit perfectly and looks beautiful. I will say the pieces took a long time to arrive due to the manufacturer but Carlos kept me informed of what was happening so I knew what to expect.

This is the worst service i have EVER received. EVER. I have been working in the home design/contruction industry for TEN years, and I've never experienced such shoddy work and outright lying. The manager is a person who cannot be trusted and does not back up his work. The mantle was not what was agreed to I gave him TWO MONTHS to make this right, he just got back to me saying that he will fix it for a discount. A discount? I have to pay for your poor communication skills and workmanship? Absolute joke. I am encouraging all of my colleagues in the design community as well as clients to stay away

I just went into Bay Area fireplace looking for a chimney cap. They were busy, so I waited patiently. When someone did come to help, he told me they never have chimney caps on Saturday. When I asked where I could get a chimney cap, he told me that no store would have them on Saturday or Sunday because the warehouses were closed. The comment was made with a snide attitude, like I should have known that. It basically felt like he was trying to get ride of me. Really poor customer service.
