Direct vent design uses 100% outside air for combustion to preserve indoor air quality. They are classified as zone heating appliances. Zone heating is inherently more efficient than your existing wood-burning fireplace or your central furnace.
Unlike a central furnace, which wastes 20 to 30 percent of the heat energy through duct work losses and sends much of the remaining heat to unoccupied rooms, zone heating creates and transmits the heat directly into the room.This lets you turn down your whole-house thermostat and use your fireplace insert to efficiently warm the room you use most.

My husband and I went into Michigan fireplace in Troy looking for a new log set for our fireplace. John was very helpful showing us our options. We ultimately decided to go with the reflective glass to update our fireplace with a clean look. We purchased the set and Dave installed for us within a two week window. Very happy with our decision to use Michigan fireplace and bbq, service was great and installation was done professionally and clean up was awesome as well.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with our experience at this store John and Tony were very helpful we stopped around for a gas log set and a custom door I feel they were very fair in price and the service was excellent Ken did a great job on the installation and was at our house 🏠as promised to do the work. Wonderful service! We were tended to as soon as we walked in the door and the salesman John truly was working to get us the most reasonable prices for our fireplace! He even came out that same day to measure us for custom doors! Highly reccomend using this business if you are looking for a fireplace! They weren’t just trying to sell me the most expensive option!

This project turned out AMAZING! We could not be happier. Initially we were looking for a replacement log set; the more we learned them more we found out how in efficient our original gas fireplace was. It was actually pulling heat from the room and sending it up the vent. Michigan Fireplace and Barbecue took the time to explain everything to us took the time to explain all options and found the best fit for our condo (which was one of the least expensive units). We now have an beautiful, awesome centerpiece to our home that really provides heat to our home.
