Our showroom on Gillham Road in Kansas City, Missouri is stocked full of hard-to-find mid-century furniture and accessories.

Our space is clean, odor free and curated; each piece is set with other matching or complementing pieces so you can get an idea of what works together. If you can't find what you're looking for, chances are we'll probably be getting it in. We have extensive networks we're searching constantly for the best, cleanest and most genuine mid-century modern.

If you are a mid mod fan of any degree and you don't know Ray and Greg much less Populuxe then you have got a treat in store. There is simply nothing like this store or these two gentlemen anywhere in the U.S.. I know because I came all the way in from Colorado to shop there. My husband and I bought a mid mod house in Denver and found rather quickly that we weren't going to be able to find authentic pieces anywhere nearby. Friends from KC suggested Populuxe and lo and behold we furnished our entire house from there. Ray and Greg helped us every step of the way including packing up an entire moving

Contacted Gregg about mid-century furniture that's in excellent condition and has been in my family since it was new in the 1950's. He asked for photos, which I sent, as he requested. No response more than a week later, even after I sent a followup message to the same number he provided. He could have at least had the courtesy of "isn't what I'm interested in," but no, nothing.
If you buy from this guy and have an issue, you may have a similar experience. I, for one, don't desire that headache.

Owner sold me this shade for $20. It was in sad, dirty shape, and he'd been planning to clean and re-stitch it for a long time. But not ever finding the time, he was nice enough to let me have a go at it. Turned out well. Great place for MCM and owner is a good soul.

I don't know the first thing about antiques but this place is great! I don't know what I'm going to do with this glass head, but it called to me. Very nice people working there. This is an adorable strip of shops to check out.
