Central Mechanical Wichita (CMW) was founded in 1990 by Phil Sewell, Phil Horner and Tom Horner. The company began as a sheet metal and HVAC operation and plumbing services were added in 1992. Over the next 25 years, CMW developed into a full-scale commercial HVAC contractor offering HVAC and plumbing along with service and maintenance to customers in the Wichita and broader Kansas and Oklahoma marketplace.
The CMW team is experienced and informed, and operates with processes designed for success and accountability. The company is lead by a hands-on executive management team. Central Mechanical Wichita leaders are active in each and every building construction and building maintenance project and are more likely to be found on the job site than in an office.
Chad Carpenter graduated from Wichita State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in accountancy. Following college, he spent several years working for a CPA firm doing both tax accounting and audit work. He then spent many years working as a corporate controller in the aerospace industry.
Jamie Conner began working in the sheet metal trade in 1988. He came to CMW in 1996 and started as a project foreman. Jamie has been a part of helping CMW achieve it's goal of excellence in our industry for many years. In his current role, he is part of each and every project, making sure that quality and schedule demands are being met.
