1 Round handle shutoff valves are an old design and may not shut water off, may not turn back on, or may leak from the valve. You can have more confidence in the straight handle type ball valve shutoff. 2 If the leak is from a faucet or toilet, you can try the Fixture Shutoff Valve in the cabinet or beside the toilet.
If this does not work after a few attempts the clog may be in the drain pipe or a hard obstruction. It is time to call the professionals. For clogs in the Main Sewer Line or Branch Drain, we can clear the obstruction with a cable machine and inspect the drain with a Sewer Camera to determine defects that may be creating a drainage problem.
If there is a leak, turn the power OFF at the breaker then turn the water off using the valve at the water heater or the Main Water Shutoff Valve. 1 Check the electrical panel to see if the circuit for the water heater has tripped. If the circuit breaker has not tripped, the internal Reset of the water heater may have tripped and may need to be reset.

Drew was the BEST plumber I ever know. He explained everything clearly. My house got water heater install as well as three toilets and faucet. All things done neat and quick. His charge is fair and reasonable. He is professional and always on time. His personality is super nice and sincere. Drew was hired to repair 3 toilets in our home and also replace some plastic nuts with copper ones. He is upfront with his pricing no hidden fees .Drew took all Covid precautions when coming into our home. He was very neat and clean when working My home was spotless when he left. There's nothing not to like about Drew. He was early (he called first to make sure that was okay), professional, and communicative. He diagnosed the issue (slow draining sink and gurgling toilet) in a methodical and logical manner. Drew was upfront with his pricing and tried the simpler procedures first to keep costs down. He even identified a small leak in my crawlspace and fixed it at no additional charge. Ultimately, he fixed the issue and I learned something about my house during the process. Fantastic service.

The pipe for my toilet shutoff valve broke inside the wall at 11:45 AM this morning. I called Drew at PLMR and left a message. He returned my call within 15 minutes and, was at my house 30 minutes after that. Drew is professional and courteous and wore all of his PPE and shoe coverings while in my house. The repair was made and cleanup done at 2:00 PM. I would recommend him for any of your plumbing needs. He was very reasonable and took his time explaining the repair to me.

Drew really cares about the work he does, as well as ensuring his clients fully understand their options. He thoroughly investigates before diagnosing and offering next steps. He ensures you fully understand the costs and the scope covered. He is very respectful of the home, and is careful not to track mud, etc and to clean up as he goes.
