Michal Kuron, the Founder of Custom Exchange, established his company to devote his knowledge, experience, and passion for modern construction to the satisfaction of his customers. Originally from Europe, Michal completed his Master's in construction and architecture, writing his thesis on windows and doors in modern construction.
Bring the outside in and do it in a big way! Sliding patio doors are an affordable, space-saving way to open up any room. While hinged doors require objects to be well away from the door, a sliding door needs no swing room at all. It opens up a room with a great view of the outdoors and adds light and beauty to your home.
Traditional in appearance, single hung windows slide vertically, reminiscent of a classic-style sash window. Since they open without using any interior or exterior space, they work well in small rooms, next to walkways, or near porches or patios where you don't want a window to protrude. On a single hung window, only the bottom sash slides upward-the top sash is permanently fixed.
Low emissivity glass, more commonly known as Low-E glass, is created by applying multiple layers of microscopic, undetectable metallic coatings to the surface of a piece of flat, annealed glass. When this metallic coating is used in window glass, it reduces the transfer of heat from the outside to the inside of your home.

This review is for their RESPONSIVENESS. I did not proceed with contracting with them.
I requested a quote from them 1.5 yrs ago and just sent them a message to ask if they can honor the same quote. I understand post pandemic prices but was still hopeful, the quote is almost 30-35% more than the original quote.
I ended up not moving forward, however I appreciate the responsiveness and how fast their customer service is! 5 stars for that!

I'd been wanting to get several windows replaced for a while and imagined a long, expensive process, but working with Michel and his team was the exact opposite. He came out, gave me a quote, it was much lower than other window vendors, and the install was done in half a day. I needed some exterior framing redone to accommodate the new windows and his team did that work too.
I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend Custom Exchange Windows.

Michal and his guys Joseph and Robert are efficient and reliable team. Michal presented and explained to us the windows information and gave a competitive pricing for nine windows and one patio door that was within our budget so we didn't have to shop around. He was very responsive in all follow-up questions. On the day of installations, his team of two guys came with all the windows and started working on them right away. They were very fast, efficient, and friendly. Highly recommend them!

Michal and the team were great. Appreciated the honesty on timelines, no nonsense here just professionalism. Came in a bit lower than other estimates and with what I believe to be a superior product (warranty and more window than frame, the installed windows are impressive). Always there when I had questions about anything. The install team was in and out in 1 1/2 day for 17 windows, very pleased with the entire experience.

Had a great experience recently upgrading our windows. Michal gave us a competitive quote. Contacted me at the timeframe mentioned. Finished the installation and clean up in 1/2 a day. Absolutely no hassles! I was especially happy they were considerate to our dog and let us know as soon as they finished the outside work so we could let him out.

Great company! They were very professional and detailed in their communication - just straight to the point and realistic given COVID impact on delivery and materials. From getting a quote to after the project was completed, Michal and his team were always responsive, proactively communicative, prompt and attentive to detail. Even though their price was by far the lowest of the quotes I got, I was a bit skeptical of going with this company since Michal was not as descriptive of the different types of windows as other companies were - but that is because he is the business owner and is not trying to be a salesman. Michal and his team did an excellent job installing 7 new casement windows in our house.
The process went very smooth and we were very satisfied with the upgraded windows.
We specially liked the fact that he explained us the different types of glasses and how they filter the light and reduce the heat tranfer at different levels. Thanks to his patience and excellent customer service, we ended up selecting the right glass for each window.

We had our windows replaced on 3/24/2021. Robert and Joseph did a great job! They were on time, courteous, and neat. Safety was also paramount, as they were masked and socially distant for the entire time they were at our home. They worked very efficiently and meticulously. They explained what they were doing through the whole process, and how to operate the latches and stops. We are so happy with their work and with the new windows.

Chose to work with Michal and Custom Exchange after working through multiple estimates. Other providers were way too focused on showmanship and salesmanship, which created a lot of distrust. From the first call, through the estimate/measuring and projection of time to complete, Michal was extremely genuine, transparent with pricing, forthcoming about delivery and installation. His team of two that came to install the windows were very friendly, extremely efficient (took only 2 days for 21 windows!). Amazing work by Michal Kuron and his team. Very efficient. I got 7 companies to come and give me a quote to replace 21 windows in my old house because my PG&E bill got to be over $600/month, partly due to having old single-pane aluminum frame windows. I got all kinds of different companies, from very big (Sears), to general construction companies. In the end I went with Custom Exchange because Michal, the owner, came to my house to measure and give me the quote insread of a salesperson, also because their quote was very competitive. This review is a couple years late, but I wanted to share my experience working with Michal. I live right next to the train tracks and needed double-paned windows put in. The whole process was easy, he was very knowledgable when it came to brand recommendations, and our new windows was worth every penny, especially when it comes to the noise reduction. It was an upgrade we really needed, and we are so glad we went to Custom Exchange Window for it. (I'm also passing them along to my sister who is looking to replace her windows too!)

- Noise reduction: I STRONGLY suggest everyone get the sound package on bedroom windows. It only cost $50-$100 and would achieve 10% to 25% noise reduction, see http://www.soundproofing101.com/window_pane_thickness.htm for details. We live next to a 25 mph community road. The new Window noticeably reduced the noise and we sleep better now :)

I am extremely pleased to write this review as I look out of my new pristine windows.
My particular case had to have new construction for windows. Due to some arbitrary policy from my HOA. Those windows were installed matched beautifully. You will most likely be shopping and you will get huge price differences between retro and new construction. I would say let Michal guide what is best. My sliding glass door went retro, more because it's under an overhang and there may not be any rain falling on it.
The install started bright and early, and the two gentlemen that installed it were great

I shopped around an RFP to replace 22 windows to five different window installers in the Bay Area - but I ended up going with Custom Exchange mostly because they work with a brand I heard positive things about (Simonton), excellent pricing, great communications, and they're a local business.
