Carfax admits that MOST vehicle accidents will not show up on a Carfax report and, NOT all totaled or salvage vehicles will appear on a Carfax report. The most important part of purchasing a used vehicle is the pre-purchase inspection to determine the actual condition. You would not buy a home without a home inspection, so do not buy a used vehicle without a pre-purchase inspection.
A computer generated file of our 600-point (click for list) inspection report will be sent to you immediately after the inspection. If you are present during the inspection, the Master Technician will provide you a printed copy. Please note that the front of the inspection report takes the 600 points and divides it into 6 major sections and over 120 categories and comments.
Auto P. I. guarantees our inspection results for (15) fifteen days. Remember, a pre-purchase inspection is not a warranty. It is a snapshot in time of the vehicle s condition. Mike inspected a Mazda CX-5 I purchased at CarMax 3 days prior. I was extremely satisfied with his service and recap of what he found. While there wasn’t an accident reported on the vehicle, he showed me all the points where he could tell the entire front end was replaced. I am extremely happy to learn about Auto P.I. and highly recommend their services. I used their services today to determine what I actually needed repaired vs getting to the auto shop only to be surprised and not know if I actually need the work being recommended. Auto P.I. takes the guess work out of the work actually needed. I only wish that my family and I had known about this mobile service years ago. It would have provided peace of mind in having repairs done and when purchasing a used vehicles.

Absolutely awesome. I can't thank Auto P.I. enough. When I initially called, they mentioned that a professional would be performing the inspection of the used vehicle. I assumed this would have been some type of "shade tree" mechanic, but it would be better than nothing. Boy was I wrong. I got a call after the inspection was completed by the mechanic, and we reviewed the entire vehicle. I was amazed at the depth of the inspection and how thorough it was. Auto P. I. was courteous and professional from the moment they answered the phone. They arranged for someone to go to the dealership to inspect my vehicle. The inspector arrived on time . I was able to be there for the inspection and watched him as he did a thorough job. He found a few issues, one of which was relatively important, and I was able to get the dealership to address each one before I purchased the vehicle. It was money well spent.

I can't recommend them enough! I was buying a certified pre-owned vehicle and even then Auto P.I. was able to point out numerous things that I was able to get the dealership to take care of and saved me 800plus dollars! Brian was our inspector and he was on time, super thorough and spent about 45 minutes checking out the vehicle and gave us both a written report as well as verbally talking us through what he found. I recently purchased a used vehicle, but not before Auto PI did a thorough inspection of two vehicles that I had test driven. John answered all of my questions and was great at scheduling the inspections, especially one that was done on extremely short notice. I used Auto P.I. to inspect a 15 year old Lexus in Austin since I live 2 hours away. Excellent service recommended for any used car purchase and don't hesitate to call them if you're in the market for a used car.
Auto P.I. was responsive, cordial, and able to inspect a car for me within 24 hours' notice. The price is very good for this area, the report was informative, and the mechanic provided verbal details over the phone for all the flaws listed on the report.
Based on the inspection, I avoided purchasing a car that would've been a money pit, at least for the asking price, and ended up finding
