Whiteside Motors
Come to Whiteside Motors when you need a reliable pre-owned vehicle. We have a good selection of cars and trucks with a large portion of our inventory being motorcycles and vans. In fact, we also buy pre-owned vans and motorcycles. The Whiteside family has been in the automotive industry for over twenty-five years.

For fifteen of those years we have had this same dealership on Koenig Lane. In addition, the Whiteside's have been members of the Better Business Bureau since 1982. With that kind of experience and stability, you know you will be able to find a car you can rely on at Whiteside Motors. In a city that is growing as quickly as Austin, it's good to know you can do business with an established automotive dealership.

Seemed honest upfront, so I am shocked that 3 months later we have not received our plates or title and have had to get temporary tags renewed twice. It is appalling behavior that they keep blaming their title company for not sending the paperwork to the DMV. I am dismayed that Whiteside Motors can't take responsibility for their own contractors and fix this issue within a timely manner.
Edit: Went in to sign new documents due to the incompetency of Whiteside's title company. When leaving were told "I hope to never do business with you again." The feeling is mutual, however extremely rude of you

This was probably the easiest truck buying experience I've ever had, funny enough I spoke I believe to the owner a few years ago about selling my work truck and the person didn't sound very friendly

So I didn't inquire any further but after meeting the owner this go around and purchasing a truck from him and a better deal than the Ford dealership up the street I might add, I get it he's a no-frills business old school , I inspected a few trucks on his lot and they all look to be in very good shape though I took the newer of the trucks and I feel I made a great purchase

Robin, the owner, apparently likes to use the “my word” is solid and can be trusted, which doesn’t seem to be the case. After visiting Whiteside Motors to look at a specific motorcycle, we called back at 4pm, the same day, and told his sales associate we would purchase the bike with cash on Saturday, the very next day. He asked if I was certain because it needed an inspection, and I said yes we will be in tomorrow, after 1pm. They said the motorcycle would be ready for me.
When I called back Saturday morning at 11am, after renting a trailer, I was told they had just sold the motorcycle,

Great experience with owner, Robin, and his son. Bought a 2014 Indian Chieftain and then had to delay coming to Austin to pick it up (I live in VA). Robin was great. He stored the bike for over two months while I tried to make travel arrangements in the midst of the COVID crises. When I finally got there he had the bike prepped and ready to go. I was out of there in 30 minutes. The bike is great and I am very thankful for the experience. They have a cool shop too. I definitely recommend these guys.

My family was looking to buy a cargo van to build into a camper. We haven't bought a car in years and were very wary when we arrived at Whiteside after finding a van there on Autotrader. It was our third dealer to contact and the first 2 had both fallen through due to undisclosed issues with the vans. It was much different at Whiteside. Robin and his wife were so friendly, honest and nice - and there was never even the least bit of pressure or pushing. The price on the van was very good and we didn't have to do the whole "let me ask my manager" bit that is expected any

We had a great experience buying a cargo van here! We would highly recommend it. It’s so nice to buy from a family owned business. Zero pressure. Zero stress.

I was just visiting to gather information for the future, yet the manager (owner?) was generous with his time and walked me through the lot and showed me many options. They have all sorts of vehicles, including a large selection of motorcycles, vans, and everything in between. The courtesy shown me gives me confidence that they will support the sale when time comes for my great vehicular escape.

I bought a bike here, 10 years ago. I rarely have time to ride these days, and failed to get them to release their Lien, once I had paid the bike off, 8 years ago.
I called and spoke to a young lady that said to come on by. I did, and was well treated by Mr Whiteside, who even gave me valuable information on selling the bike. I'd say they go beyond what is expected.

I once stopped by trying to take a look at a car on their lot, it was during business hours, but I could not get anyone to help me.

I later realized that this business is the one that has its mechanics test riding motorcycles recklessly through my neighborhood. Whether its running at double the speed limit, passing cars in the bike lane, or speeding in the school zone of the elementary school during school hours, these guys are just bad neighbors.

Its one thing to be a poorly run business that just ignores potential customers; it is another thing to be a bad neighbor and threaten the safety of

I've known the Whiteside family for most of my life. I can say that in that time Robin and Will have done everything they can to ensure that they give their customer's the best possible deal and service. I say this not only as a friend, but also from someone who has purchased 4+ vehicles from them. The last vehicle was just a month ago.

I couldn't recommend a dealership more.

These people are bad neighbors. When they test ride motorcycles they are working on they speed sometimes 50-60 mph in our residential neighborhood where the speed limits are 25-30. I was just out in the street working on my car when the mechanic came by my house on a GSXR. I motioned for him to please slow down and his response was to accelerate and bounce the bike off the rev limiter a couple of times. I went and talked to them about it and they were unapologetic and confrontational. I would never buy a bike from them because of the way they abuse the bikes they have.

Have bought numerous bikes there in the last 2 years. Bikes have always been as described and have never gotten any surprises after purchasing. The one time I did have a problem, Robin offered to split the repair cost with me which he was under no obligation to do. He describes the bikes accurately to the best of his knowledge. Crystal is always helpful at the front desk. I like to change scoots on a regular basis and Whiteside has not let me down.

PART 2
I was only able to run around short distances earlier due to the weather up here in Montana since receiving the bike.
BUT Finally its riding season up here in Montana and now I can open her up!
I took the Bike down to HD to get everything ready for the season and the 10K maintenance done and the Bike was in great shape everything Robin had mentioned was accurate and no surprises at all.
Beautiful Bike and excellent service, I will be looking here again for friends and for me :)

Thanks Robin!!
A+ all the way!

I've been snubbed or ignored by the staff here twice. I would have given them my business if they'd have given me half a chance.
Too bad, guys. Maybe work on those social skills just a little bit.

These guys work on motocycles and sports bikes it seems, but I stopped in when I ran over a nail in the parking lot across the street to see if they had some tools I could use to plug the leak. Instead, they had me pull my car around, helped pull off my tire, and plugged the leak for me in a few minutes. I can't speak for the service they do on bikes, but there's something to be said here about integrity and helpfulness.

You'll want to deal with the owner, Robin, if you're gonna buy a used moto here. Walked in a few weeks ago wanting to check out a bike --had cash in pocket!-- but Robin was busy with another customer. Instead, got dweeb-the-shop-kid who was more interested in his Virginia Slim than selling a motorcycle. I asked dweeb a few questions --nothing real technical-- about the bike, and instead of fessin' up that he knows nothing about the particular model, he starts making lame sh*t up. Guess dweeb hasn't heard of the internet and that folks do research on stuff they're gonna

I found my dream bike there and ended up buying it there, staff was kind of rude but it is a motorcycle shop but I still want respect when I'm supporting a business. They didn't call me when my license plates arrived and acted like it was a hassle when I came to pick it up. Word of advice don't expect a sales man trying to get u to buy anything if u want it buy it they don't care

I went to whiteside motors to try to purchase a relatively cheap bike ( on the market). When I arrived at their location: 1.Their customer service was terrible. 2. The 225 cc bike I was looking at was about 3 times the market value. I understand that they have to make a profit, but my god!!
On top of that, they would not negotiate a fair price with me, they were very rigid and un-proffessional. They are never going to sell that bike at that price.
Take it from me, don't shop for motorcycles at this dealership

Bought a motorcycle there via cycletrader (ad). When speaking to them Robin noted that the bike was older but apart from some standard wear and tear normal for its age it was fine.

Once the motorcycle was delivered (used a shipper) I found that some panels were strapped to the bike with plastic garbage ties. He never noted that and no photos.

Also, the gearbox is shot and the bike is near impossible to shift in 1st and 2nd gear.

All in all I was duped and the company IS NOT DIFFERENT than most car dealerships: their profit counts first and they will sell you whatever for a quick profit,
