I grew up as a second generation HVAC repairman. I attended Stratford High School in west Houston and was also fortunate to train in the HVAC vocational program during my Junior and Senior year. My father, Joseph, started Ethan Clark Air Conditioning in 1987. My full time career began with Ethan Clark in 1990, the summer I graduated.
Most of my work when I started out was on large commercial jobs and ocean going freighter ships. It really exposed me to some challenging repair problems and fixes. After we built our shop downtown off I-10 in the mid 90's, the explosion of housing development inside the loop began. We started to transition into residential service and repair.
By 1998 I became the service manager of Ethan Clark. Till this day, I still work in the field and am involved in every installation we do. My wife Melissa is also the office manager and together we will continue the level of service, Ethan Clark Air Conditioning is known for, these past 33 years.

They came out the same day and got my air conditioner up and running. They were honest and straight forward and just repaired what was broken. I was very thankful they did not try to sell me more than was needed. As others have done in the past. The price was reasonable. I will definitely use this company again.

Jake with Ethan Clark is knowledgeable, professional and most importantly honest. He was upfront that my system would need to be replaced, but repaired our current system in order to give us a few more months. Once we were ready to buy our new system he was prompt and very thorough. Highly recommend!

I stumbled upon this company searching for someone to perform maintenance checks on my system and I'm glad I found them after my units started playing up. They are very responsive and quickly schedule visits. Pricing is reasonable. They don't have a maintenance service plan to push. Their techs are able to diagnose and correct problems. The techs and schedulers seem friendly, helpful, and honest.

Jake from Ethan Clark provided excellent service. He thoroughly checked the units and made suggestions where necessary. He answered my questions clearly and patiently and made several preventive corrections as part of the service which were very much appreciated. There was never the usual upsell pressure. Jake made recommendations for consideration that made sense and I felt reassured by his explanations. Ethan Clark had replaced an A/C unit in a previous home of mine in 2005 too! After trying various other companies, I will definitely turn to Ethan Clark for future A/C and heating maintenance

I called them Friday morning and they were out within a few hours. They were able to quickly figure out what was causing the AC drain to be clogged, fixed it, and talked to me about various ways to prevent this from happening again. But it’s all the little extra things they did - shift the pan over a bit to better catch any overflow, cleaning the water in the pan, installing an extra valve for the future, talking about other solutions.
That’s going above and beyond what I have seen other companies do. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about Ethan Clark. Over a year ago, another AC company told me I needed a new system, and I called Ethan Clark to give me another quote for a new AC. When Clark came out to our house, he said we didn’t need a new system, did some maintenance, and the AC lasted us another 14 months. When my AC recently went out for good, Clark and Jake came out to my house within an hour of my call, gave us a reasonable quote, and worked tirelessly over the following two days to install it. They also fixed additional issues and had good suggestions on other ways to improve AC problems

Aging AC went out on Monday night in mid-August. Hot time!. Reached out to Clark at 1030PM. Selected Clark because he replaced the AC for two family members before summer kicked in and did a great job. Got an immediate response and he was here on Tuesday. Compressor was dead. We decided to upgrade the old AC. Clark and team got the outside and attic units installed immediately. They ran into several complications and took care of a few items that would have cost extra with other contractors. Clark took care of everything. He even came back several days later to wrap up one of those out of scope

Joe (the owner's father) answers the phone and emails, and will get your job scheduled as soon as possible. He will also text you when the technician is on his way, including a picture and name of the technician, so you know who's coming 😉

We have used Ethan Clark over 15 years; it's about time I wrote this review. They consistently provide the best customer service--always reachable, patient and genuinely concerned. They arrive on time, every time, and are never bothered that a job may require more work than expected. I'm beginning to think they actually welcome challenges! Over the years they have solved numerous problems in our air conditioning and heating system with ingenious fixes. And if Ethan Clark tells us "this needs to be replaced", I believe them without question.

Ethan Clark AC is my 'go-to' for all of my cooling and heating needs. I'm thankful to have discovered them in 2013 after dealing with a few unscrupulous local AC vendors. Clark and his Dad are honest and ALWAYS go above and beyond to resolve any issues my system may be experiencing. Before ever recommending a costly repair, Clark exhausts all possibilities via 30+ years of troubleshooting expertise. When another AC company attempted to replace my 'fan motor' for $900+, Clark made a $60 repair that solved my problem. I'm grateful there are still companies like
