Irish Plumber was very responsive and scheduled us for the next day. Turns out the smell in our basement was not coming from the ejector pump (like we thought it was), but instead from a dead animal right outside a basement window. Tried to pay the service tech for time he took for the housecall and troubleshoot the smell, but he wouldn't accept it. Very honest and reliable plumbing company. Will definitely use them again in the future (hopefully not anytime soon ;-)

Returned home from Florida and found a spot on the ceiling of the pantry off the kitchen had expanded and felt damp to the touch. My worst fear was that we had a roof leak - but thought I ought to check the master bath whirlpool tub. Sure enough - small drip from cracked hot water braided feed line that I could see through the access panel. I put a drip pan under the leak and caught most of the water. They were prompt, fixed my hot water heater & the technician was very nice. However, the price was really (REALLY!) high. It was a Friday afternoon & I had no hot water, so it wasn't exactly convenient to get multiple quotes. It cost $385 to replace the upper & lower thermostats in the heater. It was about $80 in parts & took the tech about 30 mins. So that's what, $600/hour in labor costs?

In scheduling an appointment, we were exchanging texts and I asked about a video sewer inspection and was told that The Irish Plumber doesn't offer that service. Just finished our second job with the Irish Plumber and wanted to share the praise they deserve. The first job was adding two frost-free exterior hose bibs with proper drain valves. The second was replacing a toilet. In both instances the team picked up the phone when we called, arrived on time, kept the place very clean, did a quality job, responded to questions, and stayed right on their quoted price. You can't really ask for more.

I have an Irish name, live in Alexandria, in the Parkfairfax area, and needed a plumber. So, I read all the reviews and decided to try the Irish Plumber as it is a family business, and seemed to be a good, reputable company. Steve showed up and reviewed my kitchen sink, giving me his opinion, stating the pipes and garbage disposal are old (that's what Parkfairfax building are...old), and asked me if he should still do the service I requested....to snake out the kitchen sink. I admit the price was steep, and I had to ask for some help to cover the cost. But, I already had 2 weeks of enduring

Worst experience ever. A simple clogged sink should not cost $285.00 I sent him out before he continued cutting a financial artery. This business gauges customers in high income zip codes. Ridiculous price structure. He took my sink apart, fixed nothing and charged me for a.part he installed that doesn't even work.

We called The Irish Plumber to remedy items identified in our home inspection. Kieran did a great job confirming the items we knew about, talking us through items that we thought were issues, but weren't, and he identified a couple items missed during the inspection. The proposal came quickly and was revised upon request.
We had some sink repairs, valves replaced, and a new water heater installed. The guys doing the work did a great job, kept the house clean in the process, and answered all of my questions about water heater maintenance. Would highly recommend using them.

Just had these guys come over to fix a problem with the drain in my bathroom. Plumbing services will always cost money, but these guys are as good as it gets for the going rate around here. They fixed our drain issues and also alerted us to a problem with our toilet, which we were able to fix on our own. Overall, I was very pleased with the service provided.

I have yet to have them do any work for me but feel compelled to share what a fantastic operation these guys are. I moved into a house recently and found the cold water does not function in my shower. Where to start? Bolt accurately distinguished a long standing drainage issue that had baffled other The Irish Plumber for a considerablelong time and really settled it for ever. It included a forensic investigation of our 45 year old home with numerous a perplexing wander aimlessly along the way however they took the inconvenience of nailing it down before prompting us on the suitable fix.
