The experience was negative to say the least. Gerson kept us hoping days after days for the work to start... but it never did. He basically wasted several weeks of our time and delayed our timeline.
His technique? He bid lowers than the competition and keeps you on the back-burner until he finds a better contract. Initially, he will promise the world, sending numerous pics of his previous work while boasting about his contractor skills. Eventually, you'll become his plan B and he will periodically send you a message to keep you hoping just in case one of his other contracts gets cancelled

Gerson, did the rough framing in my addition, installed some windows and doors. They completed it on time. He answered all phone calls and text messages. We had some complications with the original plans but Gerson was not phased by it and adjusted to the new plan, was very helpful, insightful and kept a positive attitude. I will recommend him to family and friends!

This team is the best! Having had a fair share of contractors who just never live up to their word, Gerson and his team were phenomenal.
They are prompt, on time, always wear masks , very friendly and went out of their way to ensure they cleaned up every spec before leaving at the end of every day.
I loved the first job they did so much that I had them come back to finish two more and every job was perfect. They also have the best prices in the market.
They completed an entire nook for me in one day, completed wiring and set up a Tesla charger in a day and finished repairing my entire kitchen

Gerson and his team replaced the old siding on my home in the Oakland Hills. They installed new fiber cement lap siding. They also replaced 3 windows, the entrance door and performed a seismic retrofit on the foundation. The team worked hard and did high quality work. I strongly recommend this company.

Gerson and his crew have completed two job for me - both were done to the highest level of quality and professionalism. In the summer of 2020, they sanded, sealed and repainted the back of my house and did an amazing job bringing new life to the entire facade, going above and beyond in all aspects. In February, 2021 they completely gutted and renovated my bathroom and the transformation has astonishingly great. They did all the demo work (cleanly!), moved and upgraded plumbing, upgraded electrical and lighting systems, moved and improved HVAC, drywalled, waterproofed, tiled, and installed cabinets

We're moving out of our office and needed whiteboards that were glued to the wall to be removed and then painted over. Called Gerson in the morning and he and his crew came into our office to do the work that same evening. We discovered the paint that was brought wasn't the ideal color (it was eggshell white but our office was slightly more beige) and instead of rushing to get the job done anyways, Her son's crew recommended they come back tomorrow so we could have the right paint for the job. Gerson and his crew were amazing. I was transitioning my old kitchen into a living room. I found G Construction on Yelp and had a response within 5 mins. He met with me the same day to review my project and go over details. I was impressed with his professionalism and advice during the meeting as well as the fair price. What was originally going to be a 2 1/2 day job (Based on other estimates) Gerson and crew completed in 1 day. He pulled some guys from other jobs to have the work done for me ASAP. I hired Gerson to paint my house and fixed some dry rot. I am very happy with the work done and the reasonable costs. We entered into a contract with specific tasks and his crew completed every tasks including some that were not on the contract. His crew was fantastic. They were diligent and hard working. They didn't try to rush anything or cut corners. I would not hesitate to use Gerson again for my next projects.

Thank You to Gerson Construction and there hard working crew. They transformed our back stair well and parts of our dry rotted walls into a great looking solid structure.

I hired Gerson for an extensive full bathroom rebuild (floor joists and exterior walls were completely rotted out) and after he started the job and I saw the quality of his work I expanded the scope to include a new roof, new dining room skylight, new insulation, siding, etc. He knows and follows the San Francisco building codes, takes pride in his work and had creative ideas and solutions for any issues that arose. I've hired 5 different contractors in the 15 years I've owned my house and Gerson is the only one I would hire again, without hesitation.

Gerson, , came and gave an estimate. I called him to come back, he was very distant and at first told me he could come later this month. I called him I was ready and he told me next year, he could come and then just hung up. Very unprofessional . Never called me back. I would never recommend this business to anyone . Very Rude.

Gerson Mateo left and did not complete the job. I've paid him in full trusting that he would finish the last few items. He has not come back for 3 weeks. He has not returned calls, texts or emails. He also still has the keys to my front door! The makes my family uneasy and feel unsafe.

Gerson Construction exceeded my expectations when they came out to look over a paint job for my recently bought house. it had some walls that were to be painted immediately.
Gerson came with another expertise who decorated the walls just like i asked them to. It was easier for them because they were professions in this field.
I will always call them for renovations without hesitating for their charges are reasonable.

Gerson came out to look over a paint job for the walls of this renter's apartment, and because of a time crunch, offered to start the night before.
Not only did he come, but he brought an extra worker, and they finished the job that night.
As they progressed, he checked in with me, to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I'd procured some recycled paint for the job, but it was useless: he had paint with him, and didn't gouge me on the three gallons I needed.

I requested a quote for a home maintenance project on the Yelp app. Gerson responded quickly with an estimate and an appointment time. I said "that works for me" and never heard back. I texted again with my address and asking him to confirm, and he did not respond. I left a voicemail and he did not respond. I texted again and he did not respond. I called again and the voicemail box was full. He did not show up at the appointment time. I am more than happy to give Gerson a glowing recommendation professionally and personally. Gerson renovated our kitchen and 2 bathrooms, as well as countless other small projects. Among the things he did was assemble cabinets, lay tiles, electrical work such as recessed lighting and intercom system, remove a wall and refinish the remaining wall, plumbing such as putting in a new toilets, sinks, shower, and bathtubs as well as setting up appliances. i could go on.
