A1 Paint Removal stripped many layers of paint from our south-facing wall on our 1930 home. It only took one day and Richard and his crew did an amazing job. From tarping, to controlling dust and debris, to clean-up, to a phenomenal final job. And no fumes!

A1 did a fantastic job restoring our 1907 craftsman in Mt. Tabor. We would not hesitate to recommend them or hire them for future projects.
This extensive project included:
- repair/replacement of all dry-rot with new wood (eaves, soffits)
- replacement of existing in-eave dry-rotted gutter system with traditional system including new trim
- cedar siding shingle replacement where needed
- removal/demo of dry-rotted 2nd-level balcony and retrofitted new design feature into balcony location

We used A-1 Paint Removal, Painting and Restoration for exterior paint removal and painting. The outside of our home had not been tended to in some time and we knew we'd have to remove paint following lead remediation techniques. Richard and his crew delivered. His crews work long days and I was always amazed to see that they were as cheerful at the end of a day as they were at the beginning. That is the sign of a good crew and boss.

A1 just completed their second project for us. The first was the interior of a 1923 bungalow. The second, completed in April 2017, was the exterior of an 1890 home. In both cases we were very happy with the bidding process, their responsiveness to our schedules, the quality of the paint removal, the handling of the waste and they way the left the work sites when finished. I recommend them without reservation for high quality paint removal services.

We have worked with A1 Paint removal Painting and Restoration on multiple occasions, seeing several aspects of there business capabilities. We had full paint removal from our historic home several years ago and were amazed at how the job was completed. the crew never complained regardless of the heat, or the long hours they kept singing early in the morning and laughing throughout the day. We were so pleased with the quality of work and the disposition of the crew we later hired them to complete interior painting on our basement, and then later on our beach house. After the first phase of my project, A1 ran into an issue with one of their subcontractors who made a mistake on a window order. In addition, there are several workmanship deficiencies and quality issues still unresolved. A1 initially accepted responsibility for the subcontractor error and the quality issues but have been unresponsive since. After multiple phone calls, emails and texts; as well as multiple unfulfilled commitments by the owners, Richard and Jessica, I feel I have no other choice but to file a formal complaint with the CCB. I'm so disappointed. A1 really seemed like the "real deal

In addition, they explained what their process was going to be and how much time each step would take. The work they did was amazing.
