Our hot water heater was out. I told them the issue over the phone. Technician was here a total of 15 minutes, did not even test or take anything a part and said he could not fix the unit but quoted a replacement, but still charged me $189.00 for coming out. PSEG tech was out the same day and in less than 15 minutes the issue was repaired and hot water heater working. No charge! We will be replacing the unit but through PSEG!

This company had given me a quote years ago but I couldn't afford it then.
When my AC unit died Friday,I had to get a technician out; wasn't them.advised the condenser -unit outside died.
I did potential get 3 quotes. Then remembered used Shamrock .so I called. they ended up sending same sales rep that quoted me before.it was nice to see him. I did get 2 more quotes from other companies but went with them.the ac unit done but realized the ancient inside coil was clogged so old wasn't getting air flow to outside unit,now the whole thing needed replacing.fast forward yes it was done

Back in October 2018, Shamrock designed an installed a mini-split system (heating and cooling) in our house (the house was built in 1900, so no room for duct work, but we have solar panels and wanted to upgrade to an electric system). The entire system cost roughly $15,000 which is in range for what we installed. The system is now just about a year and half old and has already needed three major repairs.

We had a NEW HVAC system installed by Shamrock and in less than two years our system was leaking Freon. (An HVAC system is a closed system that should not leak Freon.) Our system was no longer cooling so we had to reach out to their afterhours team. We had terrible after-hours customer service with a tech who did not know what the problem was, made some crazy statement that these systems leak sometimes. I have a maintenance contract with Shamrock for the past few years and have called them out a few times for maintenance on my AC Unit. They've always done a good job and fixed the issue in a timely matter. Last week I called them because I came home late one night in the middle of a heat wave and found my AC was not working. The inside unit was working but the outside compressor was not turning on. I called this company and asked for them to perform preventative maintenance on my gas fireplace, as I recently moved into a new home and I am not very familiar with how such fireplaces work.
I couldn't be present at the time of the appointment; however, when they showed up they performed maintenance on my FURNACE and not my FIREPLACE. When I called they said that they do not work on fireplaces. This seems like something the lady scheduling appointments should know! I spoke with a manager and I am still waiting to hear back if they will make amends.

Got a quote and signed a contract to replace the air conditioner, coil and furnace ($8,800). The contract specifically stated to replace the line set which carries the puron from the condenser to the coil. Most HVAC experts recommend this when switching from a freon system to a puron system due to possible impurities (Google it). Plus since I was going from a 4 ton to a 5 ton unit the line set needed to be bigger. Ken, the lead installer wrote up instructions for his installers and #2 on the list was "new L/set". Do not trust these guys to fix anything! They are incompetent. I needed a whole new air conditioning system. It took them 3 days to do what should have been a one day job. I decided to go out of town while they replaced it since it was supposed to be 90 degree and I am disabled and have two dogs. The maintenance man could give them access to my apartment. I spoke my apartment's manager and he promised that the job would be done by Friday end of business. I returned home around 10 pm on Friday night. I go into my apartment and it's hot so I go check the thermostat and it's set

Have used Shamrock three times for various issues. Each time I have been very impressed with the technicians from this company, the quality of their service and the courteous communications.
I've just scheduled another visit for winter furnace servicing and to have my system looked over in order to get a service contract proposal from them. Do yourself a favor and call them if you have HVAC issues.

Rude and incompetent. Our A/C broke. While our service person was very kind, our AC was still broken when he left. Called again to request that they come back - 2 weeks was the earliest appointment, and the scheduler was miserable and rude.
I called the day of the second appt. and was advised that the service man would arrive around 10:30. I called again at 11:30 to ask for a revised estimate, and was hung up on mid-sentence! I called back and was transferred to "Gary" who was equally rude. Terrible customer service by office staff. Will never use this company again.

Updating these guys to 5 stars cause they deserve it. Had a slightly problem with our HVAC this week that prevented it from not working at all. I thought for sure the system was going to be declared dead given its 12+ years old now or at least require some expensive parts and labor. The problem was a simple little fix and just a service calls fee later they were out the door and things were good as before.
