I recently purchased a vacation home in the Milestone community in Elk Grove. My AC unit installed by Sonray was defective. I have to call to Sonray 2 times to get it repair. The first time due to leakage of Freon. The second time is to repair for the leak.
Although I rarely lived there since I worked in the Bay area, my usage bill for electricity from SMU is $318 due to the AC defect.
I am asking Sonray (the subcontractor) and Taylor Morrison (the Builder) to assist me with the payment. But I did not get any resolution. How Unethical is that toward a buyer?

This company is amazing. Yesterday I received a call from Billie at SONRAY. He was close by and wanted to stop in and fix my Sun Power solar problem. He didn't plan on a long visit...But Billie would not leave until I had resolution. These guys are great! Billie especially is an a outstanding representative for SONRAY. Thanks for all you do!

Purchased a brand new home. AC broke during the first heat wave of the season. Was told I had to wait up to two weeks for warranty issue. They came. Said they fixed it. Nothing was wrong. It broke again. I called again. Was told I had to wait 10 days. They came and said they fixed it. It broke again. I called again with little kids sweating in the house they never showed for emergency service and when they did show this time it was going to take two days. They came said oh this time it's the circuit board. Have to wait a week for the part to be shipped but the tech told me they already had

When my heater quit working I called Sonray which had great reviews on home advisor. Jason was sent right over to cameron park, he was polite, informitive, had my furnace up and running in no time at an affordable price.He even closed all of the gates on his way out! I will definitely be hiring them again!

IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER A/C UNIT PLEASE EXPECT TO BE PRICE GOUGED!
In April of 2016 we purchased a home that needed a/c repair or replacement (it was an old unit) nevertheless we called Sonray to give us options. So as opposed to saying"it would be better off to replace the whole unit and go through financing...." the tech says it can be tuned up and it will work for a little while longer. The price around $700.00 the guy wasn't event there for an hour. On the receipt he wrote "no guarantee on repair" so I asked him why. His reply was

Not sure where to start, if you are looking for a HVAC company, you owe it to yourself to contact this firm. I called on a Sunday, expecting to get a recording but I was pleasantly surprised to get a live person who then helped me set up an appointment for an estimate. They exceeded our expectations in every way. From the quality and cost of the system that we purchased to a seamless installation. We looked at a few companies, SONRAY beat them all!

I find their business practice less than ethical. I will use a different company next time.
They were able to send a repair technician within 48 hours to fix my air conditioning. Their technicians seem competent.
While it was reasonable to charge for performing a diagnostic, the price for the simple repair was very unreasonable.
it's a 20-minute job to replace this $10 capacitor (they typically fail every 3-5 years). The level of difficulty to do this repair is about equivalent to changing a light switch.
The price quoted was for the diagnostic plus the equivalent of 3-years' worth

I called Sonray when no air was coming out of my air conditioning vents. They were the company that installed all the HVAC in the Taylor Morrison home I purchased brand new 4 years ago. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and sharp. Tech was at my home the next day and wore shoe protection in my home. Chris was very nice, personable and represented the company just the way I would want if I owned the company. Chris quickly diagnosed a blown capacitor which was preventing the AC unit from starting. I was very satisfied with the service I received and would recommend this company
