Just had my second service from RA Hoy. This visit was a separate issue from the first service call. Both times, I was impressed with the initial responsiveness of the company and of the work done. Especially this second service call; the technician was troubleshooting the problem and said he was 90% sure my heat pump was shot and would need replacement, but that he had to check one more thing to be completely sure. Turned out, that "one more thing" was the root cause of the problem and my heat pump was up and running again after a minor fix. I am grateful that the technician was

I contacted R. A. Hoy to have the AC unit replaced in our house. Got in touch with their sales person Dave Butler. Dave took care of me right away, he sent me the price and agreement via email. The unit was installed the next Saturday. He was very accommodating for the installation date as it only could be done for us during the renters change over time. It worked out perfectly. The job was professionally done, the technicians were also very professional and easy to work with.
It was a seamless experience of having the new AC unit put in, thanks to Dave and his team at R. A. Hoy.

We are under contract with R. A. Hoy for yearly maintenance for our HVAC units and couldn’t be happier with their service. I am particularly grateful for Scott Geiger, one of their highly trained technicians. He arrived promptly, was very polite and efficient as he went about his work. From start to finish I have had such a great experience with RA Hoy HVAC. I recently purchased a house in Duck, NC and they had installed the last system. When I called to inquire about their service plans for maintenance, Marcy was kind enough to advise me to complete the paperwork with Trane to transfer the system warranties. I never would have known to do that. I spoke with Michael next who looked up and emailed me the current warranties and walked me through how to transfer it with Trane. They replaced an AC unit in our home for $6,000. It never worked came back several times still didn’t work and wanted to charge us another $800 for service calls. Finally called another company in they told us the unit was too large for furnace and duct system, the thermostat was not comparable to either the AC unit or the furnace. So for an… additional $6,000 we FINALLy have a functional unit. We questioned Hoy on the size of the unit “it’s energy efficient” hahah. We will NEVER allow Hoy to touch anything in our home. So, In August 2016 my dad and I were working on his house in the OBX...my brother is the tenant. We noticed the AC. unit was leaking and swelling the ceiling in the garage. We called R.A. Hoy to come out and take a look at it..since they were the ones that had installed it some years back. A technician comes out to the house, goes up into the attic (pull down stairs) and tells my brother we need a new catch basin because the one there has a hole in it, about $300-$600.
