Services
Veenhuizen Painting Specialties has been providing excellent local painters and service to the Portland, OR area since 1988. We are based in Portland but we will take on residential and commercial painting projects throughout the Portland area; including Portland, Clackamas, Wilsonville, Happy Valley, Tigard, Sellwood, West Linn, Oregon City, Northwest Portland, Lake Oswego.
Our President, Kyle Campbell has 20 years in painting and construction, along with decades of successful business and people management experience. From his values, Kyle drives a win-win climate for our team and yours. From his extensive remodeling background, he also brings specific knowledge of the building processes that must be done correctly to deliver a great paint job.
Matt Duffey, General Manager at Veenhuizen, met with me to discuss my painting project. He sent me a proposal when he said he would, and it captured the details we had talked about. The cost was about what I expected for painting my entire interior, including ceilings. Matt assisted me in selecting colors.

I had a new set of cabinet & drawer fronts that needed painting, and I’m very happy that we chose Veenhuizen for the project. We had high standards for the finish we wanted and they absolutely met them. Every surface of every piece is perfect. On top of that, they got it done on time and were easy and pleasant to communicate with throughout the process. I hope to get a chance to work with them again.

Rarely do I write reviews but this is deserved. From our initial phone call to completion, Veenhuizen far exceeded our expectations. The initial meeting with Kyle was informative and helped guide us thru the process. The bid was easy to follow and our question where answered right away. They where able to start our project and work around our very demanding schedule. They communicated at a high level and completed the job on time.
The work that was done, was beautiful. You can tell that everyone involved in our project truly cared about our satisfaction and doing the best job they could.

Highly recommend Veenhuizen Painting! We called about five painting companies to repaint our kitchen cabinets and we are so glad we went with Veenhuizen. The owner Kyle came out right away and gave us a competitive quote. They provided us a sample of what the paint color and sheen would look like before starting the job. Vasyl our lead painter and his team did an excellent job and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final results!

Fantastic service, quality of work and excellent price! I have a very large kitchen (64 drawers, cabinets, etc.), with almost all of them needing to be stripped and repainted. The Veenhuizen team came in and professionally removed all of them and returned them in perfect shape. What else can you ask for? A team that actually does what they say they will... for the price they quoted. No need to look elsewhere.

We were looking for a complete paint of the exterior of our home and deck. Kyle and Steve were quick, professional, and responsive from the initial phone call. After a walk through of the project we decided on colors. We made a couple changes along the way and they were always accommodating. Our job went smoothly and was finished on time and on budget without issues.
The crew was amazing- very professional and courteous. When the job was completed everything was cleaned and left better than they found it.

Veenhuizen is a pleasure to work with from planning to finished product. I’m a very particular woodworker and have done all my own finishing in the past. I was so happy to find someone to tackle the finishing portion of my cabinetry and furniture who maintained the personal quality and excellence I have always strove for. I won’t hesitate to use them for future projects. Nick was the finisher that worked on my project and has been with Veenhuizen for over 17 years. We considered painting our kitchen cabinets and some interior doors ourselves, but figured we’d get a couple quotes first. Steve came by and explained exactly how they would do the work and gave us a competitive bid for our project. He gave me the confidence to choose them to do the job. We were not disappointed!
