Established in 1986. Eugene Difranco (Erkie) my grandfather came from Italy many years ago and became a tradesmen while residing in Cleveland Ohio. My father worked for him also as a tradesmen until 1986. He then moved to California and started a company in Palm Springs which I, Dane Feldman came to work for.

Erkies really let a good customer down. The sales and installation of my a/c went smoothly, but when I needed a little help with rebate paperworc, they were no where to be found. Failed to return three calls I made asking for help. Don't use them if you expect good follow up service. My thousands of dollars evidently meant nothing to them!

This morning our a/c stopped blowing cold air due to the fact our condenser fan stopped working. Initially we contacted our home insurance provider who, predictably, sent us to a company who wasn't available for almost a week. After requesting bids on Home Advisor I got a call from Lisa at Erkies. She set me up with Robert and another gentleman (sorry I totally forgot your name), who came out the same day and got our a/c up and running again. Highly recommend using Erkies in a pinch.

In April my wife and I arrived to our condo for a long weeks stay in the wonderful PS sunshine. After hitting the pool we thought it might be a good idea too check the AC, It wasn't hot enough to need it, we just thought we should be sure it was all in working order. We have had issues with the HVAC units on our second home (built in the 1950s) and have not had a CLUE as to how to maintain them. Robert at Erkies has been an absolute dream to work with. He has been patient with us as we decide what we want/need to spend money on and is very responsive. Happy to know when I have a question he'll be quick to answer his phone. I just installed a new Hvac system in my Palm Springs home and choose Erkies because of all the great reviews . I am so glad I did. I wanted to wait a week to see how the system worked but based on my experience of the installation and the quality of workmanship and integrity of the staff I felt it important to write the review now. As I sit in my dinning area I barely hear the furnace as it heats my home and the house is very comfortable . The system gradually heats the house you don't have blasts of hot air coming through the vents so its more balanced and gradual heating goes from 62 degrees

Dane from Erkies located some burnt melted wires from
My junction box under the HVAC by the circuit panel. Turns out a different gage wire was used wires fried and melted he found this within 15 minutes. my AC stopped working due to this. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable & this was done on a Friday night after hours. He’s simply the best and I wanted Chuck to know he exceeded my expectations. He didn’t finish until @ 11:30 and was determined to get the AC GOING. Because of a medical issue in our home the temperature has to stay certain temperatures. He ended up capping off the dangerous

HVAC. Very capable and great communication. Their attentive front office and communication never leaves you in the dark. They are eager to tailor to what you want and not limit your choices. Because they know all the options. These are the smart guys. Know their stuff and have a well trained staff. I had a two new units installed and a later warranty issue, all handled in a timely manner. They actually gave a little extra. They'll be there when you need them and you'll feel good after they left.

Recently my a/c went out on a Saturday night here in Palm Springs. Erkies had someone out to my place on Sunday morning to analyze the problem. Monday morning Robert and Bryan arrived to install the much needed brand new unit. They were both exceptional. Your company is amazing. I cannot begin to thank Kyle Lavy for the workmanship, professionalism and courtesy he provided me as he helped to diagnose the problem with my AC system this past week. Another company added 5 pounds of freon on 8/29, only to have the freon gone by 8/31. That same company came back to test for a leak on 8/31 and came to the quick conclusion that I had a coil leak in the unit itself. Was advised the cost to replace a 5 year old unit would exceed $6,000! Something didn't seem right about the diagnosis and thus called Erkies (recommended by Rheem) to come out

Dane it's absolutely amazing! We have had issues with are thermostat controlling our furnace and air conditioner for six weeks. Had other company's come out like Comfort air and Anthem. Both of those companies kicked us to the curve and felt us in the cold for winter because of where are furnace was located.
First one of Danes associates Antonio came out from Erkies and went right to it! He had to remove a temporary ceiling for access which consisted of 5 screws. Yes! You heard that right 5 screws to take panels down to access the furnace which is very old. He wasn't able to resolve

Circuit Breaker failed and darkened half my home. There was a rain storm and it was hard to find someone to come out right away after dinner. Erkies saved the day. As part of a compliance mandate by the city of Palm Springs I had to get a GFCI breaker installed on our existing pool equipment. I found Erkies on Thumbtack as they were the quickest to respond as I needed a quick turnaround. I didn't know the full scope of the job and agreed to the $451 charge.
The job took 30 minutes to complete; the breaker retails for ~$90 so $361 in labor. In hindsight (job dates 11/18), I know some of my neighbors that had the same job done by other licensed electricians for about half the price. All in all the work was done right but I know I overpaid. I never enjoy
