Miguel the owner, is very knowledgeable and will remind you constantly that he is an engineer. However his customer service is terrible. They installed a unit in my house that didn’t work for 10 days. They finally came and fixed it. Then after less than a month it started malfunctioning this according to a third-party that diagnosed the air conditioner they put in was fatigued and not working properly. It literally stopped functioning. They came back to the house as it was still under warranty and tried to blame the existing air conditioner, the vents, a tree that was removed, everything but

Grateful and happy. Our AC started blowing warm air all of a sudden while we were out of town and our house sitter was going to roast in 110 degree weather! My solar guy from Sunlogix highly recommended this company. I called Katie a little after 8am and she said they were totally booked but she understood the emergency nature of the problem would try to figure out how to squeeze in our home. We are in the middle of a home purchase. Our inspector found both a/c units inoperable. I called several companies and Desert tech could come out within the hour. They came out and analyzed that since it was 60 degrees outside, it was difficult for a/c to turn on. He heated up the units and voila, they work like a charm. Very fair pricing. I would highly recommend. Honest, prompt, great value, awesome customer service.

I needed to replace my home's original HVAC and water heater, and after getting vague quotes from several companies in Palm Springs, I found Desert Tech—when a neighbor recommended its owner, Miguel. Miguel patiently explained what would work best in the condo, and after I made a choice of systems and products, he and his men speedily addressed the situation. I'd give these guys ten stars if I could. We had an admittedly first-world problem when our wine room refrigeration unit stopped working in the middle of a desert heatwave. After one company came out and was not able to repair it, I received a referral to Miguel at Desert Tech. After speaking to him on the phone and explaining the situation I was instantly put at ease. This guy knows his stuff. A mechanical engineer with a detailed understanding of the technology, he knew just what needed to be done, sourced the components I needed from several vendors, and had the right solution in place

Miguel and his team are extremely knowledgeable about both HVAC maintenance and HVAC design. When we were remodeling our kitchen, Miguel lent insightful suggestions about how best to tweak the duct work. We introduced him to our general contractor for this job and the GC has later used him for other jobs quite frequently. Robert services our two furnace/AC systems twice a year and we could not be happier.

Very professional company! When I woke up one morning, it was 87 degrees in my house. I called my previous AC company that I had used in June, two months prior. I called 5 times and left messages. No reply. I called Desert Tech and the receptionist answered right away and was very cordial. She set me up that very day within 2 or 3 hours. Robert was the technician and he explained everything and checked every part of my AC unit, including Freon levels. The part he replaced was the capacitor for 64.84. It was the same part that was replaced 2 months prior only it was priced at 160.00. I recommend

This place is amazing. My elderly mother lives in Cathedral City and I'm over in AZ. Twice during two different summers, her AC unit failed. I called around and of course, everyone is booked with call outs. Then I called Desert Tech. I explained that my mother's house was over 100 degrees, that she was on hospice and didn't have anywhere to go. All the techs were busy, just like all the other companies, so the owner of the company personally took the job and came out in the 115+ sun to get my mom back up and running. While there, he pushed to her drink a couple glasses of ice water

As I live out of town, it is sometimes difficult to find a good repair service that is up front with what they do and explains the entire process clearly. Miguel is a man of his word and takes pride in his profession and his team of workers. His knowledge of the mechanics of A/C and heating far surpasses his competitors. He installed two A/C's and furnaces and told me that my bill should be reduced by approximately 45% and he is right on. Additionally, he personally fine tunes the vents so the air flow works perfectly. His pricing is the best in the Valley.

I wanted to say what a great company Desert Tech is. I had two units in my house replaced two years ago and they have worked great.
Last Saturday night my unit for the bedrooms quit cooling which was bad timing. I called Miguel and he gave me a few things to try and call him back. Well nothing worked, so I called him and he had one of his techs (Alfonso) come out on Sunday and he said the compressor was shot. They had a new one
ordered and came out at 2:00 PM on Tuesday in 122 degree weather and had me up and running by 5:00 PM. No charge for parts or service. Great customer service. Miguel stands

I've been using Desert Tech for at least two years now. Staff is knowledgeable, professional, good rates too. When I first hired them they pointed out a big gap on my AC unit that was allowing air to escape. Because of this the air wasn't cooling enough and the unit would keep running almost continuously. The serviceman went out of his way to fix it. After that I've had no problems. I service my unit twice a year, usually Miguel the owner calls you back to check and make sure everything was taken care of.
I will continue to use them and highly recommend them.
