I have an older house with an old boiler system. I called J&L to have it inspected and to replace a few components. What I liked.
1. Jim was able to work with my work schedule and was always prompt.
2. VERY knowledgeable and professional
3. Easy to talk to
4. Did not try and sell me stuff that I did not need
5. Price was more than fair

Used J & L based on recommendation of neighbors. I was blown away by the quality of their work and how reasonable they were. I do not recommend J&L Mechanical at all. Very limited knowledge of his field and some questionable business practices. Claimed work we requested wouldn't be up to code, sold us on a much more expensive method, and yet failed to pull a permit for extensive work we contracted with him to do even though quoted price included the cost of the permit. Later, when we had trouble with the work, he told us that any further problems would have to be handled through the manufacturers.

J and L 's craftmanship was A-1. They removed my current system which was not working and replaced with a new more efficient furnace. The duct work and everything they had to do was really neat and professional. Through out the process I had many questions, all the workers took the time to explain everything that I asked in easy to understand terms. These guys are trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable, professional, and do a great Job. I would recommend to anyone.
