In 1999 the Civil Engineer Jannet Varon was the Construction Director of an important construction company in her native Colombia, at the time she had successfully completed the construction of several bridges and building structures more than 20 floors height. In light of her husbands professional relocation, she migrated to Tampa to pursue new challenges.

We contracted JVA to perform a balcony repair. Overall, we were happy with the job except there was an area that leaked (since Day 1). We would call JVA to come out and fix the issue. Each time we called, the blame for the leak was placed on us. Not sure how it could be our fault since it leaked since Day 1. JVA would come out and review the leak and make the following comments (i.e., the leaves on the balcony are causing the leak, you need an awning to block the water). The resolutions did not make sense to us but we tried them since they were the experts. Nothing worked. We continually
