Dowagiac Heating & Air Conditioning

I have heard negative comments from different people about this place but the centered mostly around poor service times and low quality merchandise. I asked for a quote on completing the install on my Heater/AC. They did come check it out, insisted on it actually, and the guy seemed nice enough. The extent of work needed to be done ended up being more extensive than I knew and when he explained I was OK with that. He left with a promise of a quote in 2 days or less. I get an email saying it's too much work for them??? I guess they are full up folks!!! Don't bother calling them for a year so they

I had a small emergency and they were able to fit me in even though I know it was a busy day. He worked quickly, kept me informed and sent pictures of what was done since I was not on site. I have used these guys a few times now and have been impressed every time. Highly Recommended.

Just needed a ignightor for a propane furnace. Was 76 dollars here. Looked them up online and was all over for around 13 bucks.. I understand charging a little more for being local but not that much over. Wont return that's for sure

I have had Dowagiac Heating and Cooling come out to give me a quote on two occasions. Once to replace a furnace/AC and put in new basement duct work for a medium-sized house. The other to build a new heating and cooling system for a 3,500 square foot commercial building. Both times someone came out and walked around without taking measurements. On once occasion that gentleman looked like he had just woken up from a nap and didn't really seem to know what was going on. I received no calls, emails, or quotes on either occasion and ended up going with someone who knows how to communicate.

I would not recommend this company to anyone anymore. They have been out a few times now and we’ve spent a few hundred dollars to still have a broken air conditioner.. what a joke.

I called them for a/c service and made an appt for the following week. The day of the appt I was at home 10 minutes before my 10am time we scheduled. At 10:20 I called and she said they would be there within the hour. At 11:47 they still had not showed and I had to go back to work. I assume they never showed or they probably would have called me. Maybe they do great work , so if you have time and want to pester someone to take your money give them a try, for me I'll call someone else.
