He holds a degree in Plant Science from Cornell University and has hands-on experience as a third generation stonemason.

Last year, they did a good job with a spring clean up, mulching, and wood chips, so I called Jim again about this year. He submitted a proposal with a price 50% more than last year's. When I called to ask him about this, he seemed to get angry; he raised his voice and said that he got "burned" on my job last year because of the hassle of getting wood chips. So, I told him to forget the wood chips and just do mulch. He said he'd resubmit the proposal. The new proposal was still priced higher than last year's, even though now it was a smaller job.
