Our air conditioner broke, we called Carolina Custom Air because they could repair our brand, and because we had not dealt with them yet. To our delight, they sent a man named Richard who diagnosed the problem, make recommendations for inexpensive improvements to help keep the problem from recurring, told us to expect a call from the office with a… cost estimate and if that was ok, they would order the part, if they did not have it in stock. After that they would schedule installation as soon as they knew when the part would arrive. All those things happened in that order and they followed

Carolina Custom Air was incredibly responsive when I needed them to replace a part on my family's AC unit. As the summer in Charleston is very hot, time is of the essence to get the house cool again, especially with two young children. I had originally called one of the bigger names in town to get the work done for me but they put me off several days. Carolina Custom got right on it and had a guy out there within a couple hours. When you need something done quick this is who to call. I would recommend them for sure.

Carolina Custom Air installed a new Trane split heat pump system in our home in May 2021 to replace a failing Lennox split heat pump system. They listened to some concerns we had with temperature control in our master bedroom and determined a solution, which included reworking some of our ducting at no additional charge. The work was completed in one day. They arrived around 8:30 AM and were gone by 2:00 PM. The work performed was done in a professional manner. As old and new equipment was being carried through the home, they didn't damage anything. They even put booties over their shoes or wore

Carolina Custom Air is run by a team that includes a Structural Engineer that really knows his area of expertise. They have amazing customer service and knowledge that surpasses the other companies. They are experts at which A/C unit to use, what the duct runs should look like, and how to maximize efficiency. I agree that 5 stars are not enough.

I have never dealt with such a courteous and helpful company. Della, the Office Manager, could not have been more helpful and friendly. Nick and Tripp were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, as well! We had had an estimate from another company. When Nick and Tripp came out, they found that the problem was far less an issue than was previously told to us saving us thousands of dollars. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that is not only friendly but honest! Thank you all!

I replaced my aircondtioner with a unit from Carolina air. I had small problems with their equipment, once it went dead and there was a faulty TVR which they needed to by pass so the unit would work. The rep said don't worry you don't need a TVR anyway. Another time I found smut on my ceilings , they said it had something to do with my attic. This time there was a clanking in my outdoor unit. The rep told me the compresssor was gone and I was still covered under warratee for the piece but I would have to pay $1130. For installation . This unit is 3 yrs old . When I called the manager

Was very disappointed in the lack of fee disclosure up front. I called with a very specific problem. The diagnosis for my unit was given by my regular service provider who said I would need to call a specialist for this particular problem. I called and was descriptive with the assessment from the previous provider, and asked if I could get a quote for the services I needed. The person on the phone said they would happily give me a quote and send someone out to do so. There was no disclosure that providing a quote would be a fee assessed visit.
