After reading several online reviews and getting quotes from multiple vendors, we selected MacDonald Hardwoods as our installer. We hired them to complete a hardwood floor install and remove the existing flooring that consisted of a mix of polyester carpeting and hardwood that was installed with the original house construction back in 2007. We purchased beautiful engineered hardwood flooring from MacDonald and just finished the project. We’re delighted with the result. Scott was very helpful both in the selection and ordering process as well as while waiting for the delivery, which was slightly delayed because of the difficult building material backlogs.

We are OBSESSED with our new hardwoods from MacDonald Hardwoods! Not only is the product EXACTLY what we envisioned, but the service from start to finish was stellar. Working and scheduling with contractors can be tricky and frustrating, but Tom was communicative, flexible, and extremely helpful. Our installer, Ben, was also incredible. He was prompt, kind, and his work was flawless. He even worked around the drywall installers who were there on the same days as us, and gave excellent advice on how to protect our new floors while other work was happening. We will never go anywhere else for hardwoods

Visited half a dozen hardwood floor locations before finding MacDonald Hardwoods. Saw the floor we wanted when we walked in the door. Steve Burns, excellent knowledge of the product and process, very comfortable to work with. Installers were always on time and with several decades in the trade did an incredible job. A true 5 star experience at MacDonald Hardwoods. After deciding to remodel with hardwood (about 1200 sq ft and DIY installation) we went shopping. We went to the normal places. We read all the reviews. We were becoming very afraid. I had done business here some time ago (15 years?) and had bought some fabulous product that was also very expensive. Another place talked down to me and said for my age I shouldn't get what I wanted but that I should go with something cheaper. I left them a terrible review and drove on over to MacDonald Hardwoods. Although we haven't had the work done yet, we are looking into white oak flooring for our family room.
I spoke with multiple companies but it was Tom at MacDonald Hardwood flooring that was the most knowledgeable about not only the oak flooring but the particular difficulty hardwood has in the Denver dry climate.
Prices on a single large room are reasonable and again, this was the best company in terms of explaining the product, the prices and what to expect for installation.

These guys are amazing!! From the moment I stepped into the show room and spoke with Steve to the last day Ben, our installer was with us, I felt completely taken care of.
We live in a high rise with many HOA regulations around installation of hardwood- it didn't seem to phase Ben. With that said, he also has incredibly high standards for his craft which means we got an incredible result, diagonally laid planks.
I have no hesitation recommending MacDonald - they took great care of us throughout the installation process!!

We bought high quality engineered hardwood flooring (unlike the low quality flooring we found at the big box stores) for our kitchen here at a good price. The staff was very helpful and professional. They had no problem keeping the flooring until we were ready to pick it up. Turns out, after tearing up the old kitchen floor, there was hardwood underneath in good shape, so we ended up returning the flooring to MacDonald. Jeff was understanding and gave us a full refund without any issues. We definitely appreciated that.

I went to a lot of different places before choosing Macdonald. They were so knowledgeable about the different species of wood that other places didn't bother to tell me about. They have very large samples, not just a tiny piece, for you to take home and make sure that is the color that you want, no charge. After talking to them about doing our own install, they convinced us that we could do it. They were right. They taught us how to do it and we were able to install it in a couple of days. It was some work, but so worth it!!! I would do it again.

I searched for weeks to find a good option to buy flooring. Most online searches turned up Lumber Liquidators which are notorious for the terrible service and sub-par product. When I finally stumbled on to MacDonald Hardwoods I was so relieved. I worked with Tom and he was great! Loved my experience here. Not only a great product, but great customer service. They told me I could install the floors myself, which I (and my wife) felt was unrealistic. After they told me they'd instruct me how, take any calls needed along the way and even come to my house if I get really stuck, I decided to go for it. They were right and took the calls as promised along the way. You can tell its still family owned by their level of service. Would highly recommend these guys.

I'm a firm believer in recommendations and reviews and mine came from a local disc jockey (totally reliable). I had been debating hardwood floors for years and finally felt it was time to replace my "builder basic" carpet and get my first floor finished to match my kitchen.
