Classic Wood Floors was started in 1992. We started wood floor refinishing and repair business after many years of remodeling homes and doing the wood floors. We are very interested in the context of individual homes and the period of time they were built. When asked to, Classic Wood Floors may suggest finishes and colors that best express the period and materials used at the time, otherwise, we follow what the taste of the homeowner demands.
We love the richness of wood floors and how they have transformative effects to interior spaces. We've always felt they add dollar as well as aesthetic value to any home. Let our long experience show you how you can bring out the best in your home when it comes to wood floors. CWF has been in business for over 28+ years and we continue to provide the same quality today as we did back then.

Services
Refinishing is simply the process of sanding old finished floors or sanding new ones and applying stain/sealer and top coating of polyurethane. We use state-of-the-art sanding equipment and use dust containment with all of our sanders. When we sand floors, we remove scratches, normal wear and anything else that may be sanded off that detracts from the total beauty of the floors.
We install a wide spectrum of wood flooring types. The most traditional type, is solid tongue and groove that comes in various lengths and widths. We can install a pre-finished or raw unfinished type wood. The narrower style is referred to as strip flooring and the wider widths are planks. The most common use of these are put down over a wood sub floor, nailed down by pneumatic staplers.
Rather than sanding and finishing a floor that has minimal use, it may not be necessary to fully sand and finish a floor. If the wear isn't all the way down to the top of the tongue and the scratches are minor, going back over the floor with a light abrasive and a coat or two of finish might be the appropriate solution to help preserve and extend the surface of the floor.

These guys did amazing work refinishing my wood floors to make them look brand new! I really appreciated their work ethic - I could tell the crew has a passion not only for the craft itself but for also achieving perfection for their clients.
I wanted a natural look and was so pleased with their ability to sand off the old existing stain to reveal the beauty and colors of the natural oak. They were also able to replace damaged boards with perfect substitutes, fill in holes, and install thresholds.
Matt was able to do a precise in-person quote very quickly. His crew, Jim and Rich, were so friendly

I would highly recommend Classic Wood Floors. My house was built in 1925 and still has original hardwood floors that were obviously very poorly taken care of over the years. Classic Wood Floors charged me a very fair price. I had Classic Wood Floors and another hardwood floor company give me an estimate. The other company told me that my living room floors were beyond hope and I should just carpet my living room. The other company gave me a quote that was a few hundred dollars more than what Classic Wood Floors charged me, even though the living room would be taken out of the equation with the

We had a terrific experience. Mack was informative, flexible and kind. We were on an incredibly tight timeline with refinishing our floors before moving in, and Mack was so understanding and eager to work with us. He was so easy to work with and the floors came out beautifully. His prices are so reasonable and we loved working with him!

Mack came out right away and gave us a fair estimate. Richard was the flooring guy who did all the hard work of sanding (twice), filling and sealing. Unfortunately our floors were saturated with cat urine and previous owners had used tons of adhesive to put down carpet tiles on hardwood floor. They did a great job and the floors look awesome! Highly recommend due to good service, results and price.

Installed new Red Oak over the 107 year old pine wood floors in my rental property. It was a vacant home but they managed to secure the old pine flooring to eliminate squeaks and installed the new floor, sanded, stained and sealed within 5 days. They even worked around my tile installer who was installing tile around the fireplace mantel that needed to be flush with the wood. Mack even came back to sand and seal some parts that the claw foot tub re-glazer got their paint on that bonded to the new floors.
Excellent work by hand. Would recommend.

We recently had our hardwood floors refinished in our 60 year old home, and couldn't be happier with how they turned out!
We had contacted 2 other well-known companies in the area for bids on the work and received quotes that were much more expensive than what we had anticipated. The other companies claimed that the floors would need to be either partially or completely replaced due to the previous owners abuse. Mack was able to refinish the floors without leaving so much as a trace of the previous owners neglect at a fraction of the price of the others' work!
Great job! I would highly recommend

I received four estimates to refinish the floor that was underneath the wall to wall carpeting in my older home. Mack's quote was the lowest and I was extremely pleased with the refinishing work that he did on the floors in my home. The floors look beautiful and Mack took the time to make sure that it all looked perfect before he completed the job. He was very easy to work with and always responded quickly to my phone calls when I had questions. I was anticipating a lot of dust with this project, but that didn't happen. I would highly recommend this company.

Mack refinished our existing floors and installed a new hardwood floor in our home. I chose Mack after interviewing and getting estimates from several other companies. Mack is highly professional, easy to work with and motivated to produce excellent results. He explained the process thoroughly, worked with our schedule and was always responsive and reliable. His estimate was very fair. The floors look absolutely outstanding and we couldn't be more pleased.
I give my highest recommendation to Classic Wood Floors.
